I started this August 26 and for me, the food diary is the ticket. With the exception of one camping weekend I've stuck to my calorie goal and started some exercise and am down almost 9 lbs. I have a ways to go but I feel so much better - inside and out.

Wanted to share a great recipe - I'll include the link. I substitute the white flour with whole wheat and use Splenda brown sugar.. these are fabulous, moist and a great breakfast or treat. Oh increase the Baking Powder to 1T also.

Way to go!! This site is terrific. It's amazing how much we get into habits and don't realize the damage they do to us. Since being on MFP I have changed alot of my "bad" habits. The dialy logging of calorie intake and exercise has got me very motivated. I even took my 85lb lab for a walk last night around the neighborhood (which is no easy task, she likes to tug), to get in some exercise. Three weeks ago, I would have laughed at my husband when he suggested taking the dogs for walk.... lol.

    MFP is great!!

I've made 3 batches of these now - the recipe as is I think says 200 cal each but if you use the whole wheat flour and splenda they're more like 140 cal.

It's only 50 out here, rainy and windy - but I'll be out walking some time today! Cleaning chores for the morning - but hey, they cound as exercise, right? :)

Let keep 'er going! Have a great Saturday!
