Started at 170 lbs June 29th, when my doctor gave me the okay to exercise at my 6 week check up after I had my second son. I'm 151 lbs now and have 25 lbs to go to be at my goal weight.

I love everyone's before, and current pics. You all look beautiful!

Wow!! You look amazing!! That's a huge accomplishment! :)
  • Starting weight training seems to be making all the difference. Not a huge difference yet, but I am proud of the progress so far.

    This to me is fabulous...congrats

    Thank you! =)

I agree, you look awesome!!! How long have you been lifting? I've only been at it for about a month and a week. Not too long I know. I definitely feel stronger and see some subtle differences but nothing like this! I know that it takes time. I'm not discouraged or anything but I'm just wondering when I will start looking as fabulous as you do!

You're so sweet thank you =) And honestly that first picture was after 6 months of just cardio. I lost about 10 lbs at that point, but had no definition as you can see. The second picture was after lifting for about a month. Also I changed up my diet completely. I eat around 1600-1800 calories a day and eat around 120 grams of protein. I'm new to lifting still, but I can't believe how fast I am seeing changes in my body.

Yes, lifting is definitely doing phenomenal things for you! I took a before-I-started-lifting photo and I think I need to take a now picture and compare. I'm also realizing that I need to do better with my calories. I was under the impression that I should be eating a little more than that. I set my goals to be between 1500-1800 calories per today but was going over by 200-300 sometimes thinking it was okay because those were the recommended calories in the book that I was reading. The last few days I've been stricter with my calories and I'm confident this will help. I also know that I need to get more protein but am having the hardest time! Do you use a protein powder?

You should definitely be eating more if you want to gain muscle. The only reason that is my magic number is that I am only 5' 2''. Also, I use optimum Nutrition protein powder. I drink a protein shake before and after workouts. I don't use them as meal replacements, just to help me get enough protein. Also I eat a lot of egg whites, chicken, broccoli, spinach, and avocado.
