I don't see the point. Why not just eat the fruit and veggies?

well, there's juicing as a replacement to foods, or juicing as part of your regular diet. not sure which you mean.

i did a juice cleanse a year or two ago for 5 days and had positive results. lost 5lbs, had great energy, skin was radiant, mood was up, slept better, etc. however, the BEST part of it for me was i was able to cut out a peanut butter addiction. don't get me wrong, i still eat peanut butter but i no longer have this crazy strong craving that keeps me up at night obsessing until i give in.

despite having good results with it, i would probably not do it again for so long. maybe 2-3 days max as a "detox" or kickstart. i eat pretty healthy and consume lots of fruits/veggies anyway, and juicing is part of my regular diet for the nutrients.

I prefer smoothies to juicing because the fiber is intact. That said, of you like juicing... juice. Nothing inherently wrong with it.

Just got my new juicer. Fusion Juicer. I want to use this as a supplement or meal replacement mainly for good health not a detox. Just part of a "healthy eating" plan. Any suggestions from you veteran juicers??

  • If you're seriously considering it, look up the documentary "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead"
