I began this journey to better health barely able to walk more than a few feet. Pushing a grocery cart around the store would lay me up for two days. My heart rate, sitting on my butt in a chair, was 88-90 bpm.
I began exercising by doing simple stretching and spending no more than five minutes at a time on a recumbent bike only twice a week. Last week, I spent 30 minutes on the Elliptical 3 different days, and 30 minutes on the treadmill 2 days, as well as lifting weights (still light weights - up to 35# bench press & 45# dead lift). And best of all, my resting (just sitting) heart rate is now 73-77 bpm!! And in only about 5 months!!!
I stole this from the MFP Fitspiration post (Thank you AllonsYtotheTardis)
I do all of this because I thought kicking arthritis' *kitten* was better than letting it kick mine!!!
