Caffeine headaches?

I gave up soda a few days ago, and now I've had a headache for over 24 hours, it comes and goes, and it's pretty dull today (yesterday I had to take advil to deal with it) I'm pretty sure it's from the caffeine withdrawal, so I drank a bit of soda today, which I think helped. Any tips on how to get through that? I've given up soda before but it was much more gradual last time.

Drink coffee. Or diet soda. Plenty of health benefits for caffeine consumption, so I have no plans to cut it out.

Sudden caffeine restriction can cause minor - severe headaches. It is best to slowly decrease the amount of caffeine day by day.

You've come this far, you might as well keep going.
Cold turkey and you'll get through it faster.
Just keep the pain killers handy and drink plenty of water..
    kind regards,

Was a huge coffee and diet coke drinker. Will now have a. Coffee very, very occasionally. Found it easier to gradually cut back on the coffee till I was only drinking half a cup a day, then just stopped. Diet coke I went cold turkey. Headache only lasted just over a day.
  • I gave in and drank a bit of soda, trying to get it to lay off, I guess I'll just cut it out at home, still drink it at work, then cut it out completely.
