Every since i started lifting and ditched the treadmill ALL i want to do
All the time is lift. Obviously lifting everyday isn't beneficial or smart but every second
Im not lifting im sad and just waiting for my next lift day. I used to dread
Cardio but now i dread finishing my last set because i know the time apart is going
To make me sad. How the hell do i cope with this? My mind is stuck on weights!

The magic happens at rest...the exercise is just the catalyst...so on you non-lifting days, just imagine your muscles absorbing all of that energy and putting it to good use.

You could do what I do and do a 5 day split... Less days without lifting. Makes me happy lol.

if you did it intelligently enough you could lift every single day but best practice would be to take at least one rest day a week.

i used to do a double split so i was in the gym 2 times a day six days a week.

I get a little jelly when i hear people go head over heals for weight training, that was me at 13. Now that i'm 34, i still do it at least 3 times a week, but its not quite as exciting as it once was.

unfortunately, HIIT is whats floating my boat these days (yikes!)

I get pretty similar if i go over 4 days in a row without lifting...feel like all time outside the gym is wasted :indifferent: lol i usually go 5 days a week and just rest sat and sun..the program im on right now has 2 pull days, 2 push days and i just throw in a 500 rep arm blaster workout to get to 5 days

Old routine was 6 days a week 1 rest day, new routine is Push pull legs rest repeat, giving myself a little more recovery time than before!

I do a push pull leg split twice a week with one complete rest day, I get itchy fingers if I havent lifted in a few days.
