Way to go Tim!! That's a great burn and awesome fitness routine before most people have even had breakfast.

Well, still feeling the cold and if I were to go based on how I feel this morning, I'd be on the couch all day. But I know how great that run felt yesterday, so I'm going to "suit up" before I leave to pick-up my son and try to squeeze in another run after school today. As for weights, my lower body is still sore from day-before-yesterday, but I'm hoping walking will help that and keep me on schedule for Lower Body 2 tonight.

Make it a great day friends!

@ FromHereOnOut - How is it that we are the only ones posting on here so far today? I hope you start to feel better soon! Let us know how you did today and if you ended up getting that run and the workout in. Update for me yesterday now IE 1:33am over here now I played volleyball last night and burned approximately 180 calories didn't have my heart rate monitor on to calculate my calories tonight because I just washed the ban that goes around your chest today and was letting it dry out. Stay Strong and Live Healthy Everyone!

Tim, I don't know what happened. Donna and Pam both quit the group, unfriended me, and kicked me out of the TUFF group. It was very unexpected. They said that I wasn't serious about strength training because I had missed a week and a half due to this recurring cold (I've since worked overtime to make-up for those missed workoutss). I still checked-in to their check-in thread (it is a daily or weekly check-in, and I chose to check-in weekly, but they even deleted my check-in posts). I'm simply blown away by this and am beginning to think that the emotional maturity of the MFP forum is just nothing more than that of a 5th grade recess period. I'm going to be continuing towards my fitness goals, but I don't know how I feel about logging into the forum sections of MFP any longer. I feel like I could motivate myself better than the DEmotivation from being told I'm not serious enough. I don't know where anyone else is. Most of them are friends with Donna & Pam and were pulled into their group from this one. I guess unfortunately for you, you're a man and their group is a women-only group.

DH has an all day appt tomorrow and I'm stuck with both kids and the day after that is my little girl's 3rd birthday. But after that, Friday....I'm going to make it a point to run farther, faster, and harder than I've EVER run before. I feel like running out some frustration about this whole mess (mess?? i don't even know what happened. I feel like I did something terribly wrong to have them delete me and quit the group?!?!). Anyway, this is just the sort of thing I need to motivate me to kick butt and take names.

I'll probably still check-in here, even if I'm just talking to myself. Hope you stick around.

Oh yeah, about today: ran 3 miles today. In addition to my black big toenail that's taking forever to grow out, one of my middle toes tried to saw off the head of the neighboring toe during my run today. This isn't the first time this has happened and probably won't be the last. I could feel it happening but didn't want to fall short on my run today, because I had to cut yesterday's short due to some shopping I had to do--so I just kept going.

Taking a break on the lifting tonight to let my legs rest, and will do lower body workout tomorrow.

Wow, this is one of those times where not logging in until the end of the day means I missed a lot! Sorry to hear about what happened with Pam & Donna. You all seemed so close. Congrats on getting your 3 mile run in!

I'm still fighting with my cold too. Was drooping by the end of the day but took some Dayquil and it worked surprisingly well. Didn't have my usual Zumba class tonight (my instructor is in California). I almost never have evenings off during the week so I met a couple of friends for dinner, then went to the gym for some quick & dirty cardio. You two ever try Jacob's Ladder? I will conquer it eventually.

Tim how do you wash your HRM band? Mine says to machine wash and I did, but it said to put it in a mesh laundry bag and I didn't. It was fine but I don't want to press my luck again.

I am still here, sorry about the group fight on other group.

We were gone out of town all day doing errands, got home late. I started day with Nia class and did a bunch of walking while shopping.

@ FromHereOnOut - Don't give up your motivation is awesome! Hmm last I checked this was an open group when I joined and didn't see anything about women only soo...they must be childesh because I knew right off that you were in charge of this group and liked what I saw with daily checking in regardless if it was a rest or a workout day. If you need someone else to help you out with the group I would love to help with getting everything in order as a back up person. Don't worry about those ladies apprentily they didn't need to stay here and in their own click. Also great job with your workout today!

@ Laura6787 - I just wash mine like normal and just let it air dry just the ban of course...

@ healthy Marla - Glad to see you still active even though it was a busy day for you.

Keep up your motivation everyone your doing great!

Laura, I've never tried Jacob's ladder, but looked it up and it looks like it could really get your heart pumping! What a great way to cross-train! Hope your cold passes soon. Sniffles and a cough seems to be lingering with me, but my energy has been restored and it sounds like yours too.

Marla, Nia sounds like a great way to start the day and shopping is a great way to get in plenty of steps in the day. As for the other group, as far as I know there was no fight, but the way they deleted my posts & kicked me out, quit this group and unfriended me, it feels like there was. The explanation was that I'm not serious about strength training. Imagine if someone told you that, after you've been busting your rear! Anyway, I can understand that their group is a "secret" group and they want it to be "exclusive", but I'm interested in motivation and support, and being told I'm not serious enough is far from supportive. Anyway, everything happens for a good reason.

Tim, thanks for the offer. I've added you as a group admin/mod. I've never wanted this to be "my" group. I want everyone to get involved. I think the "thought of the day" is helpful to keep us on track, so as long as I'm here I'll try to keep that going. But there are sometimes months when I get busy and might need help with that.
