Good morning everyone! As usual first one posting because I'm still awake from working nightshift...This morning I burn 886 calories from running my normal 5k and working out my chest and triceps. It's only a rough estimate for the 73 min workout I did because somehow my gps watch timer got stopped during my workout and didn't realize it till 2/3 of the way through so I restarted it but it only calculated 39 of the 73 minutes grr... So I just estimated the rest based on the burn of 250 calories in 39 minutes. Maybe burned more maybe less who knows "Beast Mode" is hard to calculate lol. Hope everyone has a great day!

OOps this should have been on Nov 15.
Today I did Daily Burns Intense Abs burned 474 calories. We also had a nice TKD workout for about 60 minutes. I am just tracking using my fitbit.

Tomorrow is going to busy day. I need to decide if I want to get up early on a Saturday to get a work out it. I have meetings tomorrow and expect to be sitting most of the day : (

I may have to find a short workout to start the day off even though I would rather be sleeping.

    Hi and Happy Weekend everyone!

Thank you all for the help with the heel pain. I started stretching thru the day. I noticed walking on the cold stone floor feels good, but I'm not ready for a frozen bottle of water, b/c I hate ice. But good to know. I kno this happened from wearing boots too often, trying to "save" my running shoes. Lesson learned. I was really hoping rest last week would help. Time will tell. There's always ibuprofen, which I can pick-up next week if I think I need to.

Today DH is spending some quality time with my father-in-law, who just got through a cancer scare (thankfully it was JUST a scare and he was and is cancer-free, but I think he re-evaluated his life a bit in those days between biopsy and results). That leaves me with the kids and we will be walking to the park for a playdate, if the weather holds up.

My arms are actually a little sore today from carrying my lil girl yesterday (I need to increase my upper body strength, so yay!). Also, i'm getting really excited about the gym I saw yesterday. Spoke to the weight-knowledgable trainer on the phone yesterday and his English was great and he was extremely positive, as was the other trainer I saw (THIS is what I've been waiting for!). I'll meet him Monday so he can show me the facilities & equipment relevant to the program I want to do (Stronglifts5x5) & so I can see how busy it is during my usual hours. Unless it's mobbed with people, I have a feeling I'll go ahead an sign-up Monday. I feel like things might be coming together.

    Have a beautiful day!

    Good morning all

Yesterdays workout was a short run, 3.5K. I cut it short when I started to feel that tightening in my calf...oh man I was so disappointed!! I run with my iPhone (I use the app runkeeper) so I was able to call my dh and he came to pick me up. Today it just feels tight, no pain. I hope I caught it before it got too bad. So today, I don't know what I'll do, stairclimber maybe. I would love to run - its so mild and calm out.

A friend of mine whose grandmother passed away this week is coming to stay the night. Looking forward to that.

Sherry - My dh has had PF in the past, and basically did the things that others have mentioned. Rolling the ball under the foot, the water bottle filled with ice too. And with him it took a bit of time. Good luck, it just plain sucks to be injured!

Laura - hope you can get for your run today before the rain/snow hits! I am envious! lol

Tim - two recovery days are ok...I've been taking them too lately with my calf and all. It just makes you more anxious to get out there the next day.

dale - so glad that you have been able to get your workouts in. So good to be on the road to recovery

Marla - Sorry you didn't make it for you walk, sometimes life just gets crazy and we can't fit everything in

Jen - did you get up early to start your day with a workout? I do find that very hard to do. KUDOS!

Well, must get going, and get my day started. Maybe I will hope on the stairclimber and get my workout overwith.

Hi, guess I was tired because of coming down with cold, I started sneezing and sneezed all night. Took my Chinese herbs and tea and just resting today. Last time I went to class when I was on edge of sickness made it worse.

Going to just read today, lovely sun after rain and tops of nearby mountains filled with snow. So pretty!

Hi everybody - enjoyed reading your updates!

I ran 6 miles this morning, and walked another 2 between my warm-up (0.3) and cool-down (1.7) walks. Was 42F and overcast so actually really nice running weather. Had to run by the bank before they closed at noon, so I swung into the gym to do a short core workout and use their foam roller (which I like better than mine).

Hope everybody had a great Saturday.
