Good morning everyone from overseas! Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far...This morning was back to the gym started with my 5k run with my Army co-worker again and then did a Chest and Tricep workout. A great calorie burn today 919 in 107 minutes! IE Forget Calm Go Beastmode! Lol

    Happy Weekend All!

Tim, I think you must live in beastmode! Well done!!! Dang, what a workout!
May I ask what you are using to read your burns? HRM?

So, our weekend family walk got cut way short by rain and we all pitched in to straighten up around the apartment instead. Not too bad (for kids), but I'll wrap it up tomorrow when the kids go to their greatgrandma's for an hour or so. His grandma's is the only place that my husband is comfortable taking both kids by himself, so it's the ONLY time I can get an empty apartment. You know, it's true what they say, "Cleaning with kids in the house is like brushing your teeth while eating Oreos."

So, I've noticed that these past couple of weeks since I've been utterly failing at getting in workouts:embarassed: , my eating has been better than it had been in months and I'm seeing the scale go down again (had gone up over the Summer and then had remained the same after that--mostly just due to lack of control with my intake), as well as a smaller waistline. I guess I need to learn how to exercise self-control regarding calorie intake on workout days. I mean, I want to eat adequately enough to fuel workouts, but I somehow end up overdoing it. Interesting what MFP can teach you about yourself, whether working out or not.

Today - did some yoga. Had terrible leg (thigh) cramps last night. I could see the muscle contract. Did some sobbing and lots of breathing before I could massage it out. Thought I should cut back and just stretch today.
I love mobility yoga. I feel a little better. I will drink more water today to see if it will help.

A couple months ago I bought a Garmin GPS watch & HRM and love them.

Just finished a 7 mile run - new long distance for me! It was 12F with a windchill of 2, but I wasn't letting that stop me. A surprisingly long hill at mile 4.5 almost did stop me, but I pressed on. Worked legs yesterday with my trainer and I was worried they'd be sore today, but not too bad. Because of the temp I didn't do as long of a cool-down walk as usual, but I was ready to get back inside.
