I love today's quote because it's so true! Today ran my usual 5k route was a bit sore from my leg workout yesterday morning so ended up being about two minutes slower but it's ok the point was to just be out there running time wasn't really a factor today. The went into the gym and worked out my biceps and forearms dropped my weight a bit on both to ensure I have proper form and doing the sets correctly and not just doing them with heavier weight and messing up my form. My shoulder still hurts a bit so I'm trying to take it a little easier this week is it can continue to heal up I think I just strained it so not all bad. Hope everyone has a great day!

@ Sherry I hope you get a run and workout in today...How is that new gym you joined by the way?

Well, it's already been a week since I signed up and I'm still a no-show.(Good thing it's a year membership and not just a month!) I was going to start this week w/MWF, but Monday was the first pretty day in awhile so I ran and am hoping the same for today. Unfortunately, I only have limited time w/out rugrats, so I have to choose "either-or" of either running or gym. I guess if I could work on my running speed, I might be able to squeeze them both in (maybe like 5k, but definitely no longer on a gym day). But if I don't get into the gym by next Monday, I hope you will forget the subtle hinting...and full-on kick my butt!! Thanks friend!

@Tim I'm sorry to hear your shoulder is still hurting you! Hope that heals up quickly.

@Sherry hope you're able to get into a gym routine next week! Alternating run days & gym days sounds great. Did you get your blue skies?

I'm taking a rest day today. Wednesday is typically a run/trainer day but my trainer is traveling for Thanksgiving, so I also bumped my run to tomorrow when I can get outside to run. Just heard we're supposed to get 1-2" of snow overnight though so hopefully the roads cooperate. If I have to treadmill run I will, but I'm going to be SUPER disappointed. Also I'm hoping it's a little warmer than today - at the moment it's 2 degrees. I was hoping to run in the morning, go to my niece's for the big family lunch, then stop at the gym on the way home to get in my strength homework.

Yep, blue skies, perfect weather, and a 5 mile run. Yay! My son didn't have school today, so we skipped the tutor too and I was just home with the kids all day doing laundry. Then as soon as DH got home from work, I took off. All the way down to the coast again (by the big beach clubs). I had intended to go farther and was all set to, but then I suddenly felt like some part of my anatomy was going to fall out (wth :embarassed: )and that's when I decided I'd better stop. mmyeah. Let's just hope that doesn't happen again.

Laura, I feel for all of you who deal with cold weather. I canNOT imagine 2 degree weather or snow!! I'm such a wuss with cold weather. But I guess between cold vs. snow, getting stuck inside would be far worse than the cold. I hope you get perfect weather for a run (is there anything better than perfect running weather?!).

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that today's "thought of the day" was a preamble for American Thanksgiving tomorrow.

Probably go for walk later, just wanted to check in now.

We are having a special class on thursday morning in nia so that will be nice, since its just the two of us I don't have any prep, making a nice dinner but not cooking all day!

I got a recipe for low fat pumpkin flan I am trying out...will let you know how it turns out.

Sherry its hard to establish a habit but once you do you will stick with it. With small kids its easy to come up with excuses, I didn't work out much those days but stayed skinny from running after them at the park!

My animal babysitting starts today, watching dog & cat for one friend for 6 days and cat for a couple of days, so will be going to peoples homes daily for awhile...the dog sitting will give me extra walking.

It's not a job for me but just offered to help my friends, the dog friend is paying me and I do the other cat for free, won't be there long.

    Hello WorkOut Partners!!

I had a really good workout this morning on the treadmill. I really had hoped to run outside, my leg is feeling a lot better now and I just wanted to get outside and run. But, its nasty here today, I guess it is pretty much everywhere. I did a 6K run of intervals on the TM, so I worked up quite a good sweat. Very happy that my calf is finally feeling better.

I worked yesterday, went to my strength/cardio class after. I was so tempted not to go, but I went and was so happy that I did. It was a good workout and I would feel guilty today if I hadn't gone.

Tim - I agree totally on todays quote! So so true. And that is exactly why I am struggling. I like the workouts, but I like the food too. I mostly have trouble in the evening, but lately been doing somewhat better. great workout by the way!

Sherry - great job on the run girl!! Keep it up, get out there when you can, makes you feel so good :)

laura - enjoy your rest day today and hope you can get outside for that run. I know the feeling. I'm not sure what its giving for tomorrow, not so great I think. But, for me tomorrow night is my class, so I will probably not run anyway.

Marla - enjoy your class tomorrow morning, and nice that you will get out dog-walking!

Here it is after 9pm. I got some stuff ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I'm going to go and do a short workout and then make broccoli casserole. (too many calories, but I made a lower calorie cheesy potato - with pureed cauliflower)
Just finished exercising it's 10. Did another round of kettle bell - love it! My abs and arms always feel like they have had a great workout!

Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving (or a wonderful Thursday if outside U.S)! I'm hoping to get a workout in. I have two family gatherings tomorrow. I need to pace myself and have good will power!
