It looks like we're going to have another pretty day, before 4 days of rain sets in. So, I'm going to try to take advantage and get one more run, today after son's school (if DH doesn't have to work late). I've got appt at 5pm, so I can't make it very far b/c it takes too long to get back on the tram. I'll either loop around nearby, OR if DH has to work late, I might just do some short hill runs in the woods behind our house. I haven't done that in ages. So either scenario works.

I worked on some lifts last night and I think DH was impressed. He seems to think I'll have nothing to be embarrassed about at the gym. :glasses:

    Oh yeah, TGIF!!!!

    Tim, enjoy your rest day!

Sherry, enjoy your nice day! Nice to know you're ready to start lifting at the gym.

I've got a strength workout to do at the gym today. It's cold this morning (4 below zero!) but is supposed to warm up later. Still hoping it's warm & sunny enough to melt the roads so I can run outside tomorrow. Want to aim for 8 miles for the first time and won't do that on the treadmill.

Well, DH had to work late. And my son (who wasn' t expecting homework today--school trip) had homework. Since it was math (not Greek), I helped him with it at home (no tutor). I recognize that he even does math better when speaking Greek, so I tried to speak Greek...but for someone who NEVER speaks Greek, to try to explain how to convert fractions to decimal points and v.v. was challenging and took awhile. (thank goodness I have a smart & patient little boy!)

Anyway, there wasn't enough time for a real run and still make it back home before I have people coming at 5. I feel like I missed out on a great run b/c the weather is so nice and there'll be rain coming soon. :frown: But, I went & did 6 hill sprints and knowing how much I was tempted to just stay home and chat with DH after work, I'm pretty proud that I did just those 6 (aka, 6>0  ).

Have a great weekend everyone. I will be here hoping that the weather report is wrong.

@FromHereOnOut I don't speak Greek except for pi, but I do speak math (hs math teacher) :)

Today I did a Total Body workout. It went ok. Not as much calorie burn as I would have liked (or needed) Taking a brown and black belt TKD class tonight so I will get more workout then. Working hard tonight as I am helping my husband train for his 3rd degree black belt test on Thursday. He is then going to go into surgery later this month for a torn ACL. It doesn't seem to hold him back in his workouts, but the surgery will. We will have to keep encouraging each other to keep working out after - him with his physical rehabilitation. I will have to work at not feeling guilty that I can still work out hard.

Good job everyone on staying on track.

Sherry great job doing the hill sprints! Awesome way to get in a fast but good burn.
