Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far...This morning I ran with my Army co-worker so a slower run this morning lol which was fine because I was still sore from my leg workout. Then into the gym for a Bicep/Forearm workout overall I burned 761 calories in 91 minutes.0

Tim, I wish I could muster half of your consistency. Keep up the good work!!!! I aspire to that level of consistency. (I'll make that an official goal for when I get both of my rugrats in school and my 24/7 "job" becomes part-time.)
Today just wasn't happening for me. Lil girl woke up a couple times during the night. Then I took the kids across town to a chaotic kids birthday party this morning, until well into the afternoon, followed by some decompression time and nap (during which I dreamt I was still in a small theater/cafe with a couple dozen screaming kids--rest was not to be found! ) Got 1/3 of the remaining homework done with my son. Oh, I'll be as happy as the kids when Christmas break begins!!
Tomorrow's a new day. I'm going to tell my husband that I'm scheduling 45min for myself.
Enjoy the weekend friends.

It finally warmed up (8 degrees above zero!) so I got outside for my run today. It was snowing and the windchill was still a little brisk (-1 degree) but that wasn't going to stop me. I strapped on my new Yaktrax and headed out. I quickly realized my usual route wasn't going to work well - the roads are narrow from the snowbanks and there was enough traffic that it didn't feel particularly safe, so I stuck pretty close to home. There are several cross streets between my road & a major road 2 blocks down so I ran back & forth on those for 5 miles. Not the most exciting route but far less traffic. That also meant a lot more loose snow on the road. My Yaktrax worked awesome and my footing felt very secure, but running in snow is more tiring than running on clear roads so I was certainly ready to stop at the end of my 5 miles.0

@ Sherry - Consistency comes easy to me for one being in the Military they don't mess around when it comes to Physical Fitness they are kicking out people left and right for failing the Physical Training Test on multiple occasions. I have never failed an assessment and plan on keeping it that way. Also being Deployed it helps me to set a routine and just stick with it so working out and running is part of my daily thing minus my off days.
So if you want to muster half of the consistency that I have... As I've said before either plan your day around your workout not your workout around your day or just set yourself a routine so you do it at the same time everyday...I know having a family can be tough to manage at times but...Set your goals and stick with them and don't worry if you miss a few days here and there as long as you get back on track and don't continue down that path.
Stay with it I am confident in you!0 -
Nia class again, but this time I had all this pent up energy and I was hopping, jumping, leaping, let's just say REALLY moving today and sweat rolling off me...so good work out!
Rest of day enjoying my day alone, husband doing shuttle for town festival from 10am to 11pm...long day.
I made blueberry muffins with low fat buttermilk and used spelt flour for 1/2 the flour, turned out yummy.0
