Today is my day off from running and the gym0

I hope today's quote is true. I've been really good with my eating lately and I'm looking forward to seeing some changes.
I appreciate your perspective Tim, and I think I need to start fresh with a calendar and begin to schedule my workouts there. The plan is, as always, to workout during my son's lessons in the afternoon, but things do sometimes come up (after all, my job is 24/7 at least until I can get both kids in school). Now that we have the rug at home, it's much easier for me to catch a home workout if I happen to miss my workout outside of the home. I did home workouts exclusively last Winter and was very consistent (6 days/week with 30 Day Shred, then Ripped in 30, then also Fitness Blender). The rug makes a big difference, because of downstairs neighbors (ah, city life). I can still feel proud even of my inconsistent workouts, considering I used to sit at Starbucks with a thick, syrupy coffee and donut day-after-day during my son's lessons--what a life change!
Anyway, today I went out for just over 1.5hrs. I ran for a total of 38 minutes, but had to stop to walk a few times because it was after 1pm and I hadn't managed to eat anything yet (so I was very sluggish) and in the beginning I thought my coffee was going to come up. So, it wasn't very well-planned, but was the best I could do, on the weekend (and better than nothing). The remainder of the time was walking. It was a gorgeous day for it, but it was a high traffic day too.
Hope everyone is milking everything they can from the last of the weekend, Monday's a-comin'.0 -

I've had a mostly lazy day, in that I took naps before & after going to the gym, and I've spent much of the rest of the day with my rear on the couch. This past week kicked my butt in many ways - my strength workouts felt harder than they should have, my running felt harder than it should have, and I was SO HUNGRY all week. I've been feeling run down and was ready for a day to recover. Friday was my workout rest day. Today was more of a rest day from everything else.
My gym workout was on the spin bike: 10 minute warm-up, then 15 intervals of 1 minute fast & 1 minute easy, followed by a 5 minute cool-down at a lower resistance. I walked 5 easy minutes on the treadmill because my legs felt stiff after getting off the bike, then did a good stretch. Biked 15.4 miles (per the bike display) & burned 353 calories (per my Garmin).
Edit to add that today's saying is so true!0 -
My exercise today was bringing a bunch of wood in and cleaning house for a party tomorrow, decided to mop my floors by hand because it scrubs better, real work out!0

Laura, some people say that when you have a week like you've had (hungry and everything feels heavier & harder) that it's time for a re-feed day. I don't know what your intake has been like, but if you've been plugging away at a good deficit for long enough, sometimes the body just needs one good feeding day. I've read to think of what you crave the most and go eat that. I've done something like that before and afterwards felt like a new person. Idk, just thought I'd throw that out at you.
Marla, wow, a workout and a clean house, that's a win-win.0
