    Like the bulk of those above me, I think the plaid is more flattering.
    But I think, most importantly, you need to be comfortable at your best friend's shower. Nothing worse than being uncomfortable and focused on your outfit for the duration of an event where you'd really like to focus on your friend! Wear what makes you feel comfortable.
    I think the floral dress is pretty and I don't think it's a child-like pattern. But, I think the plaid dress is more flattering due to the empire-like waistline.
    But be comfortable!!! And have fun! :drinker:

    First of all, you look beautiful in both...

    I personally think the floral is more flattering! I also think it to be more current and fresh! You could do a great black heel with it (I think that black is the background colour, yeah?) and maybe a small stack of bangles?

    You will look terrific! Take a pic once you are all done up (hair, makeup, accessories) and share it with us! Have a great time.
