Hello! I have been on MFP for a while and am just now getting on the message boards. I am wanting to loose about 100lbs and I know it will take time (it's a marathon not a race right?) but I am worried that I am going about it all the wrong way. I workout a minimum of 3 time a week. My works out consist of lifting and cardio. 45 minutes to an hour of lifting and 20-30 minutes of cardio. I am very strong so I love to lift. I know that when you lift you have to intake more calories and I don't want to cross the line to where I am in taking too many calories. When I go to calculate my needed caloric intake I am told 2000-2200 but that just seems high to also loose the weight I want to. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi, I lift weights also and like you I'm strong and getting stronger, I'm on between 1300 and 1500 cals a day, I've about 60lbs to get off which is coming of at 1 to 2 lbs a week.0
