Hi all,
I have never posted, only lurked and so if my request seems a little silly, my apologies. However, it seems like no matter what I do the weight gain is not going as well as I would like. I track everything to a tee, use a fitbiy, I've cut out booze (as of a month ago) and yet everything seems stagnant. I'm sure it's something I'm missing and well, I'm tired of having a pity party for one. I'd like to have an outsiders perspective. I've got tough skin, so please any advice that can be provide would be greatly appreciated. Also, I've been on antidepressants for about two years, lexapro for the first year and a half (caused weight gain). Now I'm on Effexor, if that has any impact.

You haven't given much information, so it's hard to give any advice. You say your weight gain isn't going well, but your profile says you're trying to lose weight, was gain a typo?

How tall are you & how much do you weigh? How long have you been trying to lose weight, and how long hasn't it come off for? What sort of exercise do you do? And if you open your diary (Settings -> Diary Settings) we can give more accurate advice.

Eek, serious typo! I meant loss.
    Height: 5'7
    Current weight:167
    Starting weight :177
    Goal weight: 158
Started seriously trying to loose weight Oct 2013
Exercise: body pump 2x week, running (1-2 a week), hot yoga (1-2 a week)

I've dropped my calories down to 1360.

I've made my diary open to the public.

I would try and up your protein... Like change up your hard boiled egg to 4 egg whites? Have some PLAIN yogurt with your fruits and cut back half the fruit serving?

How long has it been since you've lost weight?

Thanks for the insight! I've got plain Icelandic yogurt in the fridge and cutting down in the fruit is doable!

Ive of a silimar height to you 5 7" 1/2 (we all know that half an inch is importand :P) What sticks out to me is how little you are eating when you are close to healthy weight for our height. When i started on MFP I was 236lbs and set it to lose 2lbs which gave me a number around 1360, now as ive got closer our bodies can't sustain as large of deficit as when we was heavier. With just 9lbs to go should really be aiming for 0.5-1lbs max a week.

With all that being said without having got your loggin nailed down, not matter what loss you hope you cant be sure you are achiving it without know whats going in and whats going out. Log realigously for 2 weeks every single mouthfull and im sure you will find that you are eating more than you think.
