I've lost weight but no way to know how much

Okay before i begin let me just say this I'm not obsessed with whats on the scale, I know that scales are not 100% reliable when giving you total accuracy!

When I started my weight loss journey Feb 22nd the following Friday I weighed myself and in one week I went from 252 to 246! The next week I weighed myself in the morning again after i peed like I did the Friday before that and the scale told me I was 251! I'm going to be honest I felt my motivation level decease a bit but I remembered how inaccurate scales could be. Skipping to the ahead to the next week I weighed myself in the morning and it was 249, but this time I moved the scale from where it originally was to someplace new (my entire house it hard wood floors btw) and it went up! *sigh* it's bothering me because I know I am not gaining weight Its noticeable that I've lost! in my hips , sides, back, bum , arms , faces and also my muffin top is shrinking. I want to add how much I've lost to myfitnesspal profile other than the lbs I added when i first weighed myself which was 5lbs, so that as I go along with my fitness journey I can adjust my calorie intake but How can i do that if i don't know how much body fat I've actually lost! I've been looking things up to find a solution before I came to post this and came up with nothing to help my situation, so Any advice on what I can do regrading to alternatives to finding out how much body fat I've lost or even to get a some what realistic estimation so that i can add it to my weigh ins on my profile would be very helpful.

  • I saw a video on you tube where they were measuring body fat with the pinch test. You can buy them at certain sports stores and you will need another person to use the tool to measure parts on your body. Maybe see if your local gym can fit you in for an appraisal. It may cost a few dollars but will be more accurate than doing yourself.
