Tuesday of Easter Week Four lessons preached ‘safety’ for all ‘sheep’ or believers and glory to the One who makes us safe. The Old Testament Psalm praised God for the blessings and the fact that the great shepherd was trustworthy, good, faithful and loving. The lesson of Ezekiel painted an idyllic picture of the shepherd David being put as king to keep his people safe. Even the ‘beasts’ which threatened the Jews would be held at bay. Safety. God would keep his people safe.
That idyllic vision translated into a prayer in the New Testament epistle to the Hebrews. The author called on the God of Peace. The God, who promised safety and peace, had demonstrated he protected his people and brought them peace, when they obeyed the law. That law, which was impossible for humans to fulfill, was indeed fulfilled by Jesus–that great shepherd of the sheep, on our behalf. Through the blood of the covenant made with God, Jesus brought us under the care that the Old Testament idyllic message spoke of.
We are covered by the blood, not through our work but through God’s work.
But the apostle wrote further that the covenant began with the blood of Christ covering our sins and moved into God equipping us for every good work. God equips us in our work so that God’s plan can be made perfect. But we actually only accomplish that perfect will of God through Jesus’ sacrifice. Our acceptance of Jesus and ability to be open to God at work in us, we please God. One of the ways we please God is to give all the glory for anything that we accomplish to God, who perfects what we do through Christ.
The simple prayer puts things in perspective: The God of peace will equip us. And no matter how many mistakes we sinners might make, the blood of Jesus Christ will cover any work we do and make it perfect for God’s purpose.
Because God works all this together, our contribution (even when we feel like we are working hard at it) has less impact in the result than what God does. Our openness to God working within us pleases God.
The effective results of God’s plan are also pleasing to God. And the bottom line, God is due the glory for it working together for our good. To which we say, so be it or Amen.
Thanks be to God.

Prayer: Almighty God, Open my eyes that I might see. Open my mind that I might understand. Open my heart that I might make your words a part of me. May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight. Amen

23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Almighty God, thank you for working in us and equipping us to accomplish great things in your name, which we know is pleasing to you. May you receive all the glory. In Jesus name, Amen
Conclusion
Tuesday, of Easter Week Four’s lesson reminded us that God promoted peace and safety. Our safety occurs when we accept God as our Savior. Through the blood of Jesus, everything we do becomes a part of the plan—God at work within us to perfect God’s will. To that end, we give God all the credit for the good things that happen, because God is working all things together for our good, through the blood sacrifice of Jesus.
Go out and be ready for God to do mighty things in your life—for the glory of God.*

N award for my job, I would tell everyone, that was not me that actually did jt, God opened my mind to understanding. At one time I was put on a financial team for the department of defense where the department head said that when the mission was explained it would at first seem like a B52 bomber coming over our heads that the project was so difficult. It truly was, but I did the project well and was among 4 government auditors, while I had a supply background. At the end of that project I found a 513000 error on a government contract that had gone on for 13 years. Opening my mind to ask God to lead me and help me see clearly is the only way I had any idea how to do those projects. Yes, God is a God of direction if we truly seek him, i have thrived in business as I always asked Gods direction. Many times in my social life and relationships I have been very disappointed. I believe in people too mich, w
Wear my heart on my sleeve. I should always think of the 23rd psalm The Lord is my shepherd. Yes also to be able to be gently, or even, forcefully pulled by his staff away from the edge of the Cliff that I stand on at times. May I as a senior citizen, person, women, remember the times I sat down at my desk in my jobs over the eyears to always ask Gods guidance in every situation. Many times they say be careful what you pray for because you may get it. I must remember to pray the way I did in my career when doing or praying for something that may not be good for me. I am so happy I did not not live while under the law. Praise God for the gift of His Son. It allows me,to be huma., but I should consider the gift of salvation as a responsible way to live. Thank you for todays lesson, Chaplynne . Have a good day all.0
