... The music i listen to isn't music but audio books.... while it may not have the same effect as the rocky theme music... that some people get.. It gets me to forget about the time... while i'm working out... also i don't listen to the story unless i'm working out... so often i'm wanting to work out so i can hear the rest of the story.....

I can make a two hour walk last three hours... or a two hour workout at the gym feel like 30minutes...

I can't resist adding in a few of my own pieces here!

    Sound of Madness - Shinedown
    Galvanize - The Chemical Brothers
    Chrome - VNV Nation
    Greyhound - Swedish House Mafia
    You & I - Filur
    Becoming the Bull - Atreyu
Psychosis - Poets of the Fall
    Dare - Gorillaz
    Elevatin - Wired All Wrong
My Girlfriend's Boyfriend Isn't Me - Autograph (Yes, old, but makes me laugh still!)
    :drinker:

Yes! I knew i couldn't be the only person who had VNV Nation on my playlist.
I also have a lot of dubstep. Skrillex, Lindsey Stirling, Knife Party....and then Tool, Deftones, Ani DiFranco, Tori Amos, A Perfect Circle, Karnivool....i have a pretty strange workout set.

Audio books... I do like them, but I can't listen more than once. Do you know where any good one's or good sites to go for them? :)

I like to use music to motivate me to exercise longer and daily. I have a long weight loss journey ahead of me and want to make the ultimate playlist to workout to!
I know this has probably been asked before, but please help me out!
I'll take any genre and from any time period of music!
    Thanks.

My favorites are from the 80s and earlier:
    Boston- anything they've ever done
The Cars- just about anything except for Drive, it's a slow dance song
Survivor- you fill in the blank
Van Halen- Jump, Dance The Night Away. It's all good stuff but too much listening at once is like wolfing down a large piece of fudge- too much of a good thing.
Devo- Whip It! (Am I the only person motivated by this?)
    Tears for Fears- Shout
Duran Duran- Hungry Like the Wolf
    Ozzy Osbourne- Crazy Train
Journey- Don't Stop Believin', Wheel In The Sky
Blondie- Call Me, Heart of Glass, Rapture
Heart- Barracuda, Straight On For You, Magic Man, Crazy On You
    Whitesnake- Here I Go Again
    Aha- Take On Me
Dexy's Midnight Runners- Come On Eileen
Queen- Another One Bites the Dust, We Are the Champions, etc.
Pat Benatar- Invincible, Heartbreaker, Love is a Battlefield
Patty Smythe- Goodbye To You, Warrior
Bon Jovi- You Give Love a Bad Name, Livin On a Prayer, Runaway
Joan Jett- I Love Rock and Roll
Eurythmics- Sweet Dreams Are Made of This
    Bangles- Walk Like an Egyptian
Sugarhill Gang- Apache (Jump On It). If that doesn't motivate you I don't know what will
    Eddy Grant- Electric Avenue
Guns n' Roses- Paradise City, Sweet Child O' Mine
Naked Eyes- Always Something There To Remind Me
    Bananarama- Cruel Summer
Foreigner- Jukebox Hero, Hot Blooded, Head Games
    AC/DC- Back In Black
    Asia- Heat Of The Moment
    Kansas- Carry On Wayward Son
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers- Runnin' Down a Dream

Enjoy! (I wonder how many calories you can burn doing air guitar?)
