Insanity with Weight Lifting?

Hi guys,
I am already physically fit and have been weight lifting for almost 3 months. I would like to continue doing it at least 2 to 3 times a week. I don't want to lose weight, just want to keep the muscle gains that I have made so far.
Would I end up breaking my muscles down if I continue to weight lift and add Insanity along with it? Or would I simply gain more muscle by combining these 2 programs? I have done Insanity twice already without difficulty, but those other 2 times were not combined with other workouts.
Thanks.

Thats really going to be dependent on your diet - you will have to eat appropriately if you want to grow. If your goal is purely to gain muscle mass, then Im not sure how that would be supported by doing insanity. It does have some anaerobic elements, but a lot of aerobic stuff too + plus its 6 days a week, which may leave you fatigued after a couple of months combined with the lifting. Rest and recovery are important parts of creating the conditions for muscle growth0

If you're already lifting and don't wish to lose weight what are you hoping to gain by adding Insanity to your programming?0

Thanks for info. I wasn't thinking about eating more than I do now for maintenance. Although I am not looking to lose weight, I also don't want to gain weight either. I opened my food diary in case anyone has any suggestions. I have Celiacs Disease and a Hiatal Hernia so I do have to eat at least 6 small Gluten Free meals a day.Thats really going to be dependent on your diet - you will have to eat appropriately if you want to grow. I do Cardio now with weight lifting and want to take a break from the things I've been doing for a while now, such as; TAE BO, Power walking and Running, Turbo Fire HIIT classes, and Inline Skating. It's been more than a few months since I last did Insanity and I really enjoyed it the second time so I figured I would do it again for 2 months. If you're already lifting and don't wish to lose weight what are you hoping to gain by adding Insanity to your programming?0 -
I decided I won't do Insanity with weight lifting. I've done a little more research and it seems that most do not recommend doing HIIT every day with weight lifting for gaining muscle.0
