I want dessert all the time! I live in a dorm so when I go to the cafeteria, I have to walk past the dessert spread of cakes, cookies, ice cream, etc. How do I resist the temptation to just pick up a brownie? I have the same problem with the soda machine being right next to the water dispenser. Does anyone have a good tip for resisting?

  • What if you try getting the 100 cal pack off cookies and when you go to the dinning hall you bring your cookie pack instead of grabbing a calorie filled desset. Good luck, and think of how great you will feel/look if you dont go for dessert.
  • Substitute junk food for healthy junk food. :) No lie. Try Artic Zero "ice cream" (it is just frozen flavored whey protein. 150 calories per pint!) Try eating a meal very high in fiber, and eating a piece of fruit for dessert to fill your sweets craving. I have the same problem. College eating is torture! Good luck, girl. You can do it!

I try to picture where that desert will be added to my body. For me, it's usually added to my stomach. I've worked hard to shrink it by 6" over the last 7 mos so I don't want to gain any of it back.
  • Hi, you can always bring your own snacks with you, like the 100 calorie snack packs (cookies, muffins) or bring fruit. Hope this helps:smile:
  • I am a sugar addict but have not had any junk ina few weeks and hanging strong! I allow myself to eat it but try not too. its just trial and error. I try to go fornatural sugars like fruit...making a smoothies. Even small bites is fine but sometimes its hard to stop if you are like me...LOL
