Calories Burned per Hour (by weight)

I thought this was a great link! I find that it's hard to gauge myself and that the calories burned calculator on here is not too accurate. Hopefully this helps some of you!!

Oh, my gosh-- okay, so guidance, if you please-- according to this site, in my home typing job, for 4 hours of typing, I burn almost 500 calories. Huh? Now, somehow I don't think I should be adding that as exercise cals and then eating them, in addition to the "real" exercise-- do you? :noway:

    no, that's activity. (IMHO)

I don't log my "normal" stuff. . .just my exercise.
  • thanks for the link, but if you're over 175 lbs. it won't do much good. At least I couldn't find a place to put my current weight and havei t calculate burned calories like MFP does.
    Thanks anyway

That certainly seems to make sense-- sure would be nice, though, to realize a weight loss from sitting on my butt all day typing-- but, had that been the case, I wouldn't have needed to find this wonderful site in the first place.
