I am considering an inexpensive HR monitor. Does anyone use the Sportsline S7 Heartrate Monitor avalible at Walmart?

I would love to spend the money on a Polar but I just dont have that much $$ and really want to get a HR Monitor now and not wait any longer.

Thanks.

I really liked mine at first, but it only lasted about 6 months and started giving me crazy readings. I was always unsure about readings if they were correct. Im thinking of trying ebay or amazon for a polar. I was almost better off just using the mfp cals instead since that was working for me anyway.

I had one and returned it. It was giving me a very high numbers which did not seem right. On a workout that was 55 minutes it was giving me 1100 calories! Now that I have the Polar FT4 it shows that I am burning 550-600 which seems about right.

I had one, but it stopped working right and it started giving me insanely high numbers, I traded it in for a polar that I bought off of ebay. I would save up your money and just get a good one with a chest strap. Not worth the 30 bucks.

I know the feeling to want one so bad but I bought one I hated and sent it back, I saved for a Polar and am very happy I did.

Got one, works pretty well. When I start my exercise I do have to check my HR a couple of times to make sure it is calculating my calories burned (didn't do that in 3 mile race and it showed I burned only 31 cals!). Other than that, no real problems for me for the cost. If you can afford a better one though, take the upgrade.

I bought the touch watch from walmart for $30 and returned it for the one with the chest band for $50...I love it! I counts same amount of calories as the machines i work on so Im pretty sure it is correct.
