You just feel like saying F it and giving up?? You know in your mind how bad you want to lose weight and be fit but the cravings for those 'naughty' foods are almost uncontrollable. It's like the angel on one shoulder and devil on the other type thing whispering in your ear. Your 'angel' keeps telling you 'NO, don't do it! You're making great progress!" But your 'devil' side is almost a little bit stronger saying 'Who cares what you look/feel like, what does your weight matter? Eat it, you know you want to." Yadda, yadda, lol.

This is the only thing that comes to mind......

"When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place."
    ~ Unknown

That is one of my favorite quotes.

I was going to say the same thing. Do you ever treat yourself? Just go for a run, earn some exercise calories, and then EAT 'EM!

this is exactly how i try to look at it. if its worth the work you'd have to do to get it back off, go for it, but if its not to you, you might think twice.

Well, I've been dieting for 3 months, and exercising for 5 weeks and I had yet to lose any weight at all.:ohwell: I know it takes time, been through this my whole life, went through a time where I lost 65 lbs and another I lost 45. With this current dieting, I would treat myself like once a week with my favorite thing for doing a 'job well done'. But like I said, I had yet to lose any weight despite all my hard efforts. So, I had to move to another diet that came from a nutritionist and it is extremely strict and you aren't allowed a 'cheat' day or 'reward'. But, I have lost 5 lbs already so that in itself keeps me motivated but sometimes that's just not enough.

BTW-adjones_21--LOVE the quote. I think that will help me out some. I will have to write/print and hang it around my house.

Take a look at the success section... read all those posts from people who have lost weight, take a look at all those before/after pictures...
That usually makes me want to be one of them :-)
