I have a question. I have been doing Zumba for about 3 months now. I recently joined curves also to fit inbetween when I cant make it to Zumba classes. I never really was EXTREMELY sore the next day from Zumba. I felt it for sure but not too sore. Now when I did the 30 Day Shred.(well 8 days of it).......I FELT IT, like bad! Using the potty was a chore in itself....=). NOW my question is.....
Am I not working out enough if I am not real sore the next day? Do I need something else in my workout routine?
I am losing pretty good with what I am doing but just concerned!

THANKS!!! =)

Get a heart rate monitor to see what your heart rate is during workouts and that'll give you a better idea of how hard you're working

As you get more fit it will take MORE to really FEEL it. Also epends on the workout....more strenuous the work out the more you will FEEL it.

Personally I don't feel the need to HURT after every work out. IF that were the case I would never work out. I like to FEEL it...if that makes sense...but I don't need to barely be able to move the next day. KWIM?

To each his own though....if you ask Jillian Michaels she would probably say if you aren't throwing up passing out or dead you aren't working hard enough LOL

your body may be getting accustomed to your workout - that happens for me around the 3 month period. try changing up your routine a little bit to work some new muscles.

I only get DOMS if I go too long between workouts. On my regular schedule I will not get sore unless it's something new that over taxes a muscle.

    I second this.

I rarely am sore, unless I haven't done something for a while. One my long run days (11-13 mi) I have been sore just because I have pushed my body longer than a usually do.
