hey I'm stuck. I'm feeling so full like I don't wanna eat anymore because I'm starting to feel icky like my stomachs popping out... So I was wondering if I should let my diary stay where it is, or have something when I get home at 9 tonight from my SAT class. Suggestions? Thanks so much

Have crackers and cheese and an apple with peanut butter with some trail mix.
  • I have Kellogg's Protein Water Mix in the strawbery kiwi flavor. It not only is great tasting but it tends to fill me up. I would have those on hand for when you are up late studying and feel the need to eat. Hope this helps! ;)

Yes eat something when you get home. You are eating way too little as it is.

900 is a little low ... almonds are a great high-calorie snack ... also avocado (I like it just halved with pico de gallo as stuffing)

I do popcorn. I hear it's not good to eat fruit after 2 pm.

I would eat something since you are so low on calories. Have you checked your fiber intake? When I eat too much fiber, which happens quite often, I feel extremely bloated and uncomfortable. And from my experience, it doesnt have to be just today's fiber, but the feeling can be a result from the last few days as well.

I would not go so far below your calories, and it seems you haven't met a few of your requirements.
I would definitely eat a snack that has been suggested - almonds, avacado, etc.

Yes, eat something. You are netting 419 below 1200 as it is and anything below 1200 could put your body in starvation mode. Have you ever tried making yourself a smoothie? You could add in some ice cream or frozen yogurt to up the calories (or even just yogurt if you only have that on hand). They are yummy and go down easy when you don't really want to eat. That's what I am doing tonight. I'm not feeling well either, but I can usually stomach those.
    Good luck.
  • You nee fresh vegetables in your diet. It doesnt look like your eating is very balanced or healthy despite the low numbers. And low isnt necessarily a good thing! I should say that 1200 cal a day is what you should shoot for otherwise your body stores everything you consume as FAT instead of burning it for energy. (i.e. Starvation mode) And you should be drinking a lot more water too.

Thank you all so much. I am not trying to lose weight like I was before. But getting out of the habit of eating little amounts of calories but healthy foods at the same time is difficult. I am going to go buy almonds now

The 1,200 hundred you see mentioned is for females...Most males need at least 1,500. I am 5'6" and when I eat 1,500 a day I lose around 2 pounds a week. Lats month I started eating 1,700 calories a day plus an additional 500 or so calories for each weight lifting session and I have slowed my weight loss down to about 1/2 pound per week.

So if you are not trying to lose weight then yeah...You need to eat quite a bit more. Take a look at my diary for ideas.
