heartrate monitors and wearing them all day

can you wear you polar heart rate monitor all day to get an accurate reading of how many calories you burn in a day doing exercise as well as stuff around the house....yard work, mowing, vaccuuming etc?
any one do that and get a nice result

Polar hrm's are really only accurate for periods of exercise. If you want to know what you burn during the day, a bodybugg or fitbit would be better for that.0

haha i actually wore one on a shopping trip to the mall with my mom. It got a little annoying after a while and honestly if you are realllllly scrounging to get more exercise calories in to eat, you should probably just hit the gym0
