Woman and HRM straps

So I have been having trouble with my HRM going on and off to 00. U noticed other people having this problem and most of them are woman. I am wondering if our sports bras are causing this........? Random thought. Any me out there having issues wiht the readings?

    I've had the same problem, and suspect it is due to sports bras. I am pretty sure it's only happening with one bra that I have. So maybe try different styles? Tightening my strap seems to help, also wetting the sensor. It is so frustrating to be in full run and see your HR isn't being picked up!

    polar makes some sports bras with the HRM strap made on. You could try one of those... I personally haven't had that problem.

    Yes I know!! I think its bc I wear a bra with my sports bra but I hate if they move at all and I dont like looking like a 10 year old boy with the 2 sports bras. I want a polar bra so bad!!!

    There was thread recently on this very problem. The author said that the cause is most likely not cleaning your strap properly. I didn't know it should be hand washed after every use and laundered once a week if you use it daily. Just started doing this so I'll let you know if it works, but I've been getting really weird readings for a couple of weeks now and I use mine daily.

    Yea I was the one who posted that lol. I cleaned it and it is working but it kept going in and out and I had to keep adjusting it bc it of my bra.
