Heavy squats. I hate them with a passion, but they have worked miracles on my body.

Normal, proper deadlift... not sumo or straight leg, between the legs or any other strange variation.

Recumbent bike (Proform Hybrid Trainer with the foot pads down) . I have bad knees and lower back pain when standing .

I am able to do a hour a day with no back pain and no increased pain in my knees!

If Planet Fitness took over and ruled the exercise world and could only use one exercise, I would Squat 3x / week.

    WOAH.
    WOAH.
    WOAH.

If we start with "run" or "bike" or swim.

then I nominate power lifting and or oly lifting- I mean really if we want to go generic- 'lifting

not just one measly lift- because "run" incorporates a plethora of options- it is not just 'one' thing... so oly lifting.

    final answer Alex
    oly lifting.

(why- includes traditional power lifts- and technical speed lifts)

For single exercise it would have to be walking as I wouldn't be happy without it!!
For single gym exercise it is squats because I love them.
For actual exercise routine it would be Bodybalance (yoga)
    :)
