I became single because my ex-husband and I were too much alike....I like men, and, as it turns out, so does he. I stayed single because I took seriously the job of raising 3 children as a single parent. Now that those "children" are 17, 19, and 21, it may be time to work on changing that status.0

I'm single because I'm fat. That's the only reason I can come up with. I have a great network of friends, a career and a bubbly personality (most of the time lol). I'm not the most outgoing wild person, but I'm not the one in the corner afraid to talk either. I'm always the friend advising people about their relationships and listening to guy friends pine over women. No one's knocking down my door , never have. Guys I'm into aren't into me and the rare guy who shows interest isn't for me. I can't think of any other reason why I'm single.

Hi guys! Im single for a LOT of reasons. First, I have two kids and one is bipolar and what man wants to deal with that. I also help my mom who is elderly and needs a lot of assistance. I work nights and weekends and live an isolated life. Also, and most importantly, I feel am not good enough, not only because am fat but who would want to be with me when they can have young, skinny and gorgeous with no kids. Guys are into me tho...the wrong ones lol. When the right one came along, i pushed him away because i dont feel worthy of anyone good like that.

Early traumatic marriage and divorce/too fat and shy/complete homebody who just doesn't put herself out there.

I believe that there ARE people who don't mind someone being overweight or fat...and some people who like it and/or prefer it. (I'm just very wary of the "fat fetish" guys. #icant) But with that being said, at least for me personally, I feel that the majority of guys want the thin girl. I don't think I'm unattractive, but I don't get hit on at bars (unless it's by 60+ year old ex-cons.) LIKE, AT ALL. Never. It's always the painfully obvious GORGEOUS bombshells they go for. And before I gained all this weight I had braces during my adult years. So that I assume was the downfall at that time. Before that I wasn't ready as my fiance had passed away. I'm single because I just got a divorce. It was finalized in November and I am just now starting to feel like maybe I would like to start dating. But I am also overweight and I know that I need to get healthier, physically and emotionally. I am working on that and MFP is helping keep me accountable! I'm new here by the way, feel free to add me if you want a weight loss partner!0

i am single because i got divorced in 2013 then had a relationship of sorts (the friend with benefits kind) that ended in november 2014 after which I've decided that before going for another relationship with someone i would start a relationship with myself. I've quit smoking, started eating well and registered at gym. A companion to go out sometimes would be nice but i don't prevent myself from doing what i like even if I'm alone :-)0

She couldn't except my job and working requirements. Now perhaps I choose to be single and mingle. Have great friends that I run with, one that I could definitely spend more time with in a dating situation. We will see how 2015 goes.0

I'm single because I don't mind being single and I'm not going to take my last ex back. When you use your daughter as an excuse for a break in the relationship and then start dating another woman a week later, you lied and I won't accept that.0

Funny you should say corpses. I am around them all day. I am a coroner with a sheriff's department. My schedule rotates every 6 months (Days off as well as times worked) and I am on call for the complicated recoveries like having to be flown into an area and dropped off by a long cable dangling a hundred feet below a helicopter. It was difficult on the relationship. I could tell you the title of the latest porn flick I star in too, but then I would have to drop you in a vat of acid afterwards. Any takers?0
