Hey Everyone! Just finished my workout! It seems to get longer and longer cause I keep adding more abs workouts. I did Ab Ripper, Ab slings, Ab Tower and ab work on the ball. It was awesome and I really felt the burn. I also did my favorite weight exercise, Shoulders & Arms! I just love that workout and the burn you get in your arms and shoulders! It is AWESOME! Tomorrow I am doing Tony's Yoga workout called Ho'Ala ke Kino and the Fat Burning Express workout. My coach changed things around the Round (Round 6) to mix things up. So we have some P90, P90X, P90X+ and 1 on 1 workouts mixed in with the classic weights remaining the same from P90X.

MrsAlex: 515 is right. Everyone has a different calorie burn. I have a super high calorie burn. For example tonight in Shoulders & Arms, I burned 430 calories. I average 400 to 500 on weighted workouts and on cardio, in the 500's. But that is me. I have the chest strap one too and just love it. I tried the watch type and it just did not work as effective for me.

Since we are being honest, I am 5'9" and weight 140. My body has stayed at the same weight now for about 6 months. I am leaner and have alot more muscle but less fat.

Well, I hope everyone has a great evening.

I do not use a HRM but have been thinking about getting one. I just add in my exercise in here and I use that. I know everything isn't 100% on here so I use it as a guide and it's helping!!

Tena: I have good and bad news for you. I'm going to tell you the good news first. I did drink 10 glasses of water today, worked out this morning (which you already know) stayed under all my servings BUT I did have McDonalds for dinner :frown: I know its only an excuse and I can say no but its my bf hes a fast food and junk lover and its hard for me! I have talked to him and he is supportive but hes not at the same time so Im pretty much doing this on my own, well with this site helping me too!!
I would not have eaten it if it would have put me over and I used to beat myself up when I would eat that stuff but I don't anymore no reason to kick myself for what is already done just get right back on it not that I fell off too bad!
OK my confession is done now, time for bed gotta workout at 630am!

Jenn: Don't beat yourself up over the McDonalds... It is hard when you first start to adjust to the changes. I have been clean eating since August 2007. Now I allow myself 1 cheat meal per month. But believe it or not, when I cheat that one time a month, I am miserable and pretty sick to my stomach for a couple days.

The way my mindset is now, I workout daily and workout hard, why would I defeat the purpose of working out for a chocolate or cookie or junk food. To me, it is just not worth it. It took me awhile to get that mindset but now that is how I am. My hubby does not eat totally healthy. When he has junkfood, I just ignore it and make my own food. I even keep chocolate and candy in the house for the grandkids and NEVER touch it. With how hard P90X is, I want it to mean something to me and I want to see results.

It will come with time for you too. I will email you with alittle strategies I used...

Have a great nights sleep and great workout tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new day....

    Thanks for the replies, ladies........

Yes, my HRM with the strap seems to be more accurate than my old wrist type. I was getting false readings up in the 700 & 800 range. Now, with the strap, its like 300 to 400 range. I trust that is more true....

I'm 57 and am fighting the "old age" middle & thighs. In Sept 07 I got up to 125 so I hit the gym. By Dec. I had lost 10 lbs. Kept it off and July 08 was weighing 108. Felt really toned! Quit smoking and immediately gained 10 lbs. So I started P90X 5 weeks ago. Now I'm down to 113 and still fighting! Since I'm so short (only 5' with shoes) every 5 lbs on me is like 10 lbs on someone else....

I have to make myself eat. Having trouble eating enought protein. My weakness seems to be potato chips and cookies!

I love this site - it keeps me motivated!

    Enjoy your holidays....

Teena: I would be interested in some of your strategies too. I do not eat clean, but I do eat healthy, balanced meals. I typically consume 1400-1500 calories a day (my flat daily calories, plus most exercise). I am stuck at this weight!!! I would prefer to be between 122-125 lbs. but my body seems to like it here around 132. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat or how much or little I workout, here is where I stay. I've been trying hard since Sept. and only lost 2 pounds :explode:

Hey Everyone! I had a really GREAT workout with Yoga Ho'Ala ke Kino and P90 Fat Burning Express. On the Yoga workout I burned 159 calories and on FBE I burned 343 calories. At first I thought what a low calorie burn... But then when you add them together it is a total of 502. I guess that is good! Tomorrow I have Legs & Back! Love that workout! Come on pull-ups!!!

Ok, on the diet, you are all going to think I am nuts!!! My biggest problem was eating right and not cheating. Well, last year, when Alli came out, I researched it and bought it. It is not a diet pill but a pill to teach you to eat right. If you eat high fat or junkfood, you get nasty side effects. I am sure you heard about them, so I will not get gross. So, I took it and NEVER cheated because I was so afraid of messing in my pants. I took it for about 6 months and lost 40 lbs in conjunction with doing P90X. I feel it helped me get on the path of eating right and healthy and clean. I stopped taking it last February when I knew that I had control of my eating and have not had any problems since then. I have one cheat meal a month. That is it! I have really accomplished alot with exercise and learning how to eat right.

Now, I do not have the problems alot of you have. I am almost 47 and my kids are grown up and moved out. My husband works nights so I control my eating myself. During the week, I eat alot of Lean Cuisine and Smart One's for dinner. I need something quick because I do not get done with my workouts til about 7:30 pm. Hubby is home on Friday's, Saturdays and Sundays and does the cooking then and makes low fat healthy meals from cookbooks he buys. I do not cook! I know, I am bad... But lucky he likes to cook!

I hope I helped you all. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Congrats Tena on the workout and CLEAN eating! I hope one day I get there! Ya I find it so much easier when Im alone to eat healthy even if I am hungry I do not go to fast food which I used to. But I still do eat it!

Do you have a HRM? I've been thinking about getting on but not sure. Is the exercise section on here kind of accurate? That is what I use.

Bedtime again, I have my body back on my schedule even though Im hardly working bedtime 11pm wakeup 6am!

I do have a heartrate monitor with the chest belt and using it during every workout. For me, I have a high calorie burn so it is always more than this program states it should be. I am lucky in that restrospect. If mine ever broke, I would definitely buy another one fast! I have a Polar F-6. You have to watch them though cause some only do heartrate wherein the one I have does heartrate and calories burned.

Hope you have a great workout today!

    Way to go Tena!!!!!

I just got done my cardio 1-2 and ab ripper 100. I can't wait till I can actually do the whole video without having to walk in place. I love and hate the power yoga. I have bad knees so I have to wrap them before every workout (pain in the butt) and I know it takes time but it does get frusterating when you can't do it like them!

Well off to shower and get ready for work. Tonight we are staying at our casino for my bf's bday/ our anniversary and we are having dinner at the buffet. Really I am not that worried because I have a nice plate of salad, chicken fajitas with the tortilla, chicken skewers, half baked potato and veggies! I stay away from the mashed potatoes, pizza and pasta (weakness).
They also have a sugar free dessert section for diabetics so I"ll have something from there and drink water!!!

Hey Everyone! Just finished my workouts! There is not one dry spot on me! I did an Incredible Abs workout and boy did I feel the burn! Then I did P90X Kenpo. It was AWESOME! I was kicking super high and punching super hard and was wearing my 2 lb weighted gloves (2 lbs in each hand)! I had an incredible calorie burn of 541 calories for the KenpoX alone! My Recovery Drink tastes heavenly right now!

Jenn: Excellent planning on getting in there and getting your workout done so early. To succeed you really do have to schedule it and make sure it gets done. Don't worry about not being able to finish it the video yet, that will come with time. I am totally with you on the love/hate relationship with Yoga! I used to have problems with my knees but since the weight dropped off, I do not have any problems with them anymore. Be patient... I know it is frustrating but you have to be patient. Soon you will be rocking it and ready for the X! I have 110% faith in you that you will succeed!!!

That is such good planning for your outing at the casino! That is great they have so much to pick from and you can even get dessert! I hope you all have a blast. Tell your bf Happy Birthday from me!
