Only 4 more days of spring fling and 4 more days till Spring itself. YEAH!!!!! I have to admit, I am a little disappointed in myself for not being closer to my goal of 295, but I am impressed that I have not given up logging food. Sometimes when I get down on myself (bipolar) I tend to stop doing those things that are working best for me. This time I did not stop tracking or measuring or weighing...... Although I now know I should be weighing everything in grams (solid foods) and all liquids (only) should be measured.
I went to our support group last night for Weight loss surgery folks. Learned a LOT about metabolism. Did you know that spicy foods increase metabolism and helps burn an extra 90 calories a day?? I don't like spicy foods, but may have to try this.
On another note, I think I am coming down with a cold. UGH.
Everyone have a great day!!

Good morning! Thanks for getting us started, Cari. And congrats on the food logging. I was on a roll too but missed this week, and I'm going to go back and try to recreate those days. I KNOW why I don't log... Because I don't want to be accountable, lol! If I don't write down that I ate a whole bag of smartfood, it didn't happen!!!
I have so much to do and just want to stay in bed and read all day. The temp dropped to 4 degrees last night and the house is frigid this morning. I can tell when Jim is over winter too. He stops stoking the woodstove before he leaves for work. Today's HIGH temp will be 22!!! I swear to god, I should move back to Alaska. This has been the longet, coldest Maine winter ever. We better have a kick-*kitten* summer!!
Top of the list today is getting my laps in, and I'll challenge everyone to get their exercise too. Work it, baby.

All I can say is thankfully we have a heated pool because pools and lakes are not going to even be enterable (is that a word) until August the way this cold in Maine is lasting! And according to my thermometer it has hit 24* today!! Although, if you add in the wind chill it feels like 6*. So that didn't really help did it Karen? My saving grace is that I can see grass where my husband had plowed, and although it is brown and yucky, it is still grass! If I look in further than 2' off the drive way, I refuse to see the piles of 6' snowbankings that have also been because of his plowing! Man, I am just no help today! lol I'm trying!!!
I guess what I am trying to say is look for the positive and try to ignore the negative!! And if all else fails, have a margarita!!

Thanks, Diana... Ummm... I think. LOL.
My 100 pounds lost present to myself is going to be a swim skin, sort of like a wetsuit, only thinner material so I can swim in the lake even when the water temp dips.
