So far everyday after work, i walk 45 minutes but i want to also do home exercises to lose weight as the gym is not an option for me at this time. Any recommendations on what works??

You lose weight by eating less than you burn, so focus on what and how much you eat. Walking is a good exercise. If you want to do something that burns a bit more, you can either walk for longer, or slowly start adding jogging intervals. Or look into whatever other exercise you find interesting.0

Try hiking it can be a little harder than walking. Maybe do some jogging and some body weight excersice, like pushup, jumping jacks, crunches stuff like that. Write it down so you can keep pushing yourself to do more or go faster. Try burpees you can duo that at home0

I agree. I started strength training, along with really watching my calorie intake, and saw amazing results with inches lost. I can wear shorts that used to be too small AND I weigh more than I did when I wore them previously. So, pay more attention to how your body looks than scale weight. You're losing, but introducing new/harder exercises can mask lbs lost with fluid gain while the muscles repair.
Body weight exercises/calisthenics does a body good. Check out books by Mark Lauren (my library has them) for good exercises to start. I believe "Body by You" is geared toward women and another is "You Are Your Own Gym". As you get stronger, you progress to harder versions.
There's also Nerd Fitness. I haven't looked at it much, but it's often recommended here.

walk faster. Walk a hilly route. Wear a backpack with a small amount of weight in it.0
