Issue with MFP and daily caloric intake recalculated with exercise

I hate the fact that MFP adds in the deficit of calories you've worked out onto your calorie tracker. I never had success with this- I want to create deficits, not maintain them. What's the deal with that!? Is there a way to turn that feature off?

Thanks, I'm assuming you can't turn it off then. I guess I won't be logging my burned calories on here then.0

You create your deficit with the rate of weight loss you select. Eating back exercise calories just maintains that deficit instead of increasing it.
You should calculate your TDEE and take a cut off that if you prefer to eat the same every day.0 -
You can go to my home, then click add exercise, find your exercise and set the calories lost to 1 before adding. That way you can add them but not increase the number of calories you consume per day.
I do want to say though that the reason they add your calories to your daily allowance is so that you keep the rate of loss the same as to what you selected (1.0 lb/week for example) That's 500 calorie deficit so if you burn 200 working out you add 200 to your daily allowance so that you stay at 500 calories total burned deficit that day and meet your 1/lb per seek goal so you aren't losing too quickly and you continue fueling your body.0 -
Your MFP deficit is created without exercise. So if it says you burn 2000 a day and then you exercise and burn 400 calories, you have now burned 2400 calories for the day. To keep your body fueled and remain at a healthy deficit, you should eat those calories back.0
