Is Iced Coffee Better Than Regular Hot Coffee?

I'm not much of a coffee drinker. When I do drink it, I prefer Decaffeinated coffee.
But I've never had iced coffee. Is it really good? And is it better than regular hot coffee? Just curious...Thanks.

Why do you want to drink coffee if you don't like it? LOL!! Iced coffee is good, but generally it's sweet and probably not low cal. It's yummy, but only good if it's sweet, IMO.0

Iced black coffee would probably be better as there would be more water (ice) therefore dehydrate less.0

BTW...I LOVE hot coffee!0

I prefer iced coffee. It tastes better, but calorie wise is not better for you.0

I think it is easier to drink cold dont know why. Probably because there is less actual coffee while more milk and flavorings.
In high school I wasnt much of a coffee drinker. My friend told me her way to ease into coffee drinking.
From easiest to drink to black.
Fraps (blended coffee drinks)
Iced Lattes (with flavors)
Hot lattes
Iced coffee (lots of sugar and cream)
Hot coffee (lots of sugar and cream)
Slowly ease of the sugar and cream to black
Right now I drink a mug of coffee with a scoop or 1/2 packet of hot cocoa mix. I use the sugar free to cut the calories. It adds flavor and sweetness while its quick.0 -
Yeah,I kind of agree with an earlier poster. i loove hot coffee and can drink it with very little sweetener, but iced coffee seems to need more sugar and cream to be yummy.0

No, no, I do LOVE coffee! I just can't drink it all the time, because it makes my heart beat a little faster and makes me sweat a little much! LOL!0 -
I brew my coffee the night before and keep it in my fridge. I think iced, or cold, coffee tastes better. Another bonus to drinking iced coffee is that your body burns more calories when you drink cold beverages than when you drink warm ones!0

Coffee ADDICT here, and depends on if its a home brewed ice coffee, or from a chain coffee place.
at home I dont see much difference, hot or cold its all the same.
at a coffee place like Duncan Donut or Starbucks, or my fave Coffee Beanery
they double brew it so each pot is two filters full of coffee grounds in the ice coffee to make it extra strong
so you dont lose flavor once its poured over ice and it is a very good caffeine buzz for sure haha
I once had like 4- 20 oz DD ice coffees in one day and by the nights end felt like my heart was gonna pound out of my chest
needless to say no sleep for me that night.... Love both myself, dont care if its good for me or bad I am not about to give up my coffee.0 -
I would think iced coffee was better because of the ice in it puts hydration in the coffee. I'll try it next time I'm at the coffeehouse in my town. Thanks you guys!0

I didn't like coffee, but started drinking it for the caffeine, and I think iced coffee is easier to drink than hot coffee. I put skim milk in both, but need less sweetener when I drink iced coffee.0

Both provide healthy doses of chlorogenic acid. Also, great study issued out of Harvard yesterday indicates men who drink six or more cups of coffee a day experienced a significant reduction in prostate cancer as well as a reduction in all types of cancer.0

I like either. It depends on the time of day for me. Either way, I drink my coffee with Splenda and Skim Milk or unsweetened almond milk. If i use a creamer, its usually sugar free creamer. Saves calories and is still yummy!!0

I was craving Starbucks yeaterday and checked their nutritional information before I went. The drink I got (Grande Iced Caramel Machiato with skim milk) was only 190 calories...about 20 less than the hot version, and much tastier in my opinion!0
