I am 12 days in on Atkins induction phase. I feel absolutely amazing. The first 3 or 4 days really sucked. I had headaches, dizziness, major major food cravings, completely exhausted and hungry no matter what I ate. Now day 12 I have tons of energy. I am awake and ready to roar at 6 am. I no longer need 10 hours of sleep. I can stick to my 3 main meals with a couple of small snacks and be satisfied. Very few food cravjngs. WAY less bloating and reduced pain in knees. This picture is a difference of 12 days. On day 1 my stomach was so sore I literally felt like I had swallowed a bowling ball. It had felt like that for years. I was already gluten free for about 2 years so I'm not quote sire what caused the bowling ball belly but it was something to do with carbs. I no longed have any abdo pain or huge bloat. Loving this WOE!!

Hey, we all start somewhere! I started at 201 lbs. I'm only 151 cm! That's about a half inch under five feet. I've lost 73 lbs in just under a year. Not too shabby. I also find it easier to focus on how far I have to go instead of celebrating how far I've come. But stay positive and patient! The time would pass anyway, may as well spend it getting healthier!

You are doing so well. I'm another Angela and we've been doing this nearly the same amount of time. This is day 13 for me.0

Holy Crap are you kidding me? That's awesome! what pay off for the struggle you had at the beginning. Glad you saw it through the keto flu huh? Wow! I'm really happy for you!
Makes me think now I should have taken some pictures. But in all seriousness, I think I didn't expect it to work so fast!!! fun!0 -
Hmm...usually I post from my phone so the pic isn't too bad but now seeing it from my computer.....my butt is HUGE. Ugh. lol0

Wow, girl, that is amazing!!! And I think most of us qualify for the "butt is huge" merit badge. Don't sweat it...you're working on it!
If you look at my profile pictures, you can see what is only a 30 pound difference (and almost a decade! These pics are NOT EVEN MY HEAVIEST WEIGHT...), but essentially, I've was tested negative for celiac, unknown for gluten sensitivity, but I am insulin resistant. Because of that, my BLOAT was from any carbs...cutting the carbs as dramatically as I did allowed those changes!
