Good morning Ladies and Gents!!!!

Yesterday was such a hard day mentally. I got to see my Psychiatrist last night. I love this man as since I've been his patient he doesn't catch the attitude most Doctors/medical proessionals do, that they know everything. He's very down to earth, very understanding and works with me and allows me to manage my bipolar the best way possible for me. You see, when I first had RNY, I cut my anti-depressant to 1/2 dose a day (1.5 pills a day) as all the hormones being released due to fat loss scared the dickens out of me. I tend to go up, way more then going down. I cycle every 4-5 days regularly. Just how I am. Then when I returned to work, I found myself being short and nasty with people.... just not how I am, so I up the anti-depressant to 2 pills a day (normal dosage is 3); then about a month ago, I had a really horrible day and ended up punching my desk. Very irritable...short with people....just plain mean and people were noticing and commenting asking me if I was OK. The evening, I up'd my anti-depressant back to 3 pills a day. According to my Psych, it should be about another 3-4 weeks before I know if I am back to normal again. He did say because I had RNY, I may actually need more anti-depressant a day to absorb and get a normal dosage. I wish I could do something so I didn't cycle every 4-5 days.... but it's just become my normal.

I also have a new man in my life. His name is Reggie and he is having the gastric sleeve done in June (God willing). He is such a positive influence on me. He told me Monday ( I think it was Monday) that he loved me. I haven't felt this way about someone since my ex-fiance that turned out to be a con man. I don't just love Reggie.... I'm head over heals for this man. Just wish my family could accept us and him for who he is. (LONG STORY).

My vacation was AWESOME. 4 days in Cocoa Beach, FL was just the right amount of time to decompress from work. I took off the entire week though, got some Dr. appts and stuff done.

I'm back though. Streak in tack. YEAH ME. I've caught up on all the post also.

Much love and hugs

Great to have you back Cari...yes it has been quiet around here. Karen is off being a southern belle, Zac maybe out there playing tennis and enjoying nice weather! Dee...not sure what she is up too!! Norah is enjoying married life! Not sure what others are doing.

So you have a new man....yeah!!! Congrats! I hope your family will see in him what you do eventually. It may just take some time for them to come around. And be careful with your self-dosing (is that even a word or saying??? lol)...meaning careful increasing or decreasing your medication dosages....many meds do take some time to 'kick in' and sometimes when we get to feeling better (like taking antibiotics for an infection....once 'we' think the infection has gone, we may decide to stop taking the antibiotics...but it is too early...we should finish the course of antibiotics). Do take good care of yourself.

I am packing up and cleaning out my years and years of 'stuff' I have accumulated. Just finished shredding years of 'photo negatives' and now hitting the photos...shredding, cutting, etc. It feels great to 'unload' this stuff that I am never going to wear, use etc. Am going to have a garage sale eventually!! I am trying to tackle something each night I get home from work....that way when I pack it in...in October....I will be ahead of the game!! Even got all my furballs vaccinated last weekend...that was fun...NOT!! lol

Hope everyone out there is doing well!! Get some exercise in if you can.....enjoy the great weather if you have it!!

GM Nancy, I do self-dose. With permission from my psychiatrist. I wait about 2 months between increasing or decreasing dosages. I cycle rapidly and am very aware of how the meds affect me. Thanks for the concern.

Woohoo on the new man Cari!! I hope your family will come around to see him as you do. I'm very happy for you.

WTG on the cleaning out Nancy! It will certainly make moving much easier.

    Hi everyone else!

I have been MIA for a bit because I was having trouble each time I signed in to MFP. I would get this screen telling me I needed to call a number because my computer was under attack. And that was just signing in! I didn't even click on anything. So I stayed away for a bit.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Just saw a note from Karen on FB...she is in Kentucky without wi-fi and should be back on-line end of May.
