Can anybody recommend a BBQ sauce that would be low in sugar ( No HFCS or others) that would be good in bbq chicken? could be store bought, or home made. Thanks!

I love G Hughs Hickory. I found it at my WalMart and Amazon carries it.

I too use the G Hughs BBQ sauce from Walmart. It is the only sugar free BBQ sauce I have found in retail stores that I have looked in. The taste isn't as good as normal BBQ sauce. But it's a decent sauce in its own right.

I made one yesterday from a recipe I found on www.Lowcarbfriends.com. It's called indispensable almost zero carb barbecue sauce. It was pretty good, pretty vinegary, but you can tweak it. Good basic starter recipe.

I really like the GH Hughes, they make a hickory and a maple brown and possibly a honey style one if I remember right. I use the maple brown most.

Google "Alabama White Barbecue" you'll never go back to traditional style BBQ sauce again... You can find recipes and adapt them with Splenda or your favorite low carb sweetener.

I mix dukes mayo with Tabasco sauce and garlic salt.. It makes a great hot sauce!

Thanks very much everybody.... I was not able to find GH Hughes in my Walmarts, but I found Amish Wedding - Original BBQ Sauce - it's amazing! No HFCS, vinegar based, does have some carbs (12g for 2 tablespoons serving) I just stick to no more than that on my Chicken (parboiled/grilled w/sauce & butter) and skip the sugars somewhere else.

    "some"? :)
Damn dude, hope you can find some G Hughes at some point. It has 2g for that same serving size.

    I make my own.

Or some variation thereof. Everything tastes so sweet to me any more so I cut down on the liquid sucralose.

I also make my own keto ketchup. It's not Heinz, but it's pretty good.

I made the keto BBQ sauce listed above (low carb friends) and entered it into MFP. It gives me over a carb per serving (20 servings per recipe) but only 8 calories. Does that sound right? I used only a teaspoon of stevia rather than the 6 tbsp of splenda.

I found some in a store in a mall in Chicago ... 1 carb per serving. The store was dedicated to all things barbecue and chili... Do not know the name.

Historic Lynchburg - gourmet deli and grilling sauce. It looks like a Tennessee whiskey bottle. 1 tbsp is 5 calories and 1 gram carbs.

It was pricy @ 8.05 a bottle but so worth it!
