Fat Burners - beneficial or waste?

I've been working out for 4 months and have managed to shed a good 4 kilos (moderate workouts and cardio with moderate diet). Somewhere somehow, someone told me of those Fat Burning Pills that would boost ones metabolism and cause increased fat burning, thus aiding the fat shedding process.
However, the same pills are known to cause increased blood pressure and insomnia in certain cases.

What is your opinion regarding the Fat Burning Pills.
I don't plan to use the pills permentanty, that is if at all I'm interested in using them.

They're potentially dangerous (depending on which kind), as most of them are stimulants. As someone who has tried two different over-the-counter brands, I can assure you they're a waste of money as well.

You seem to be making good progress with what you're doing!

    boost ones metabolism

so does caffeine and building muscle. Much cheaper to drink coffee and do pushups.

They're basically caffinee pills. So either take caffinee pills or drink more coffee for the same effect.

Not a good idea. I tried them and they did nothing for me.

    Or a calorie deficit.

Because lunges and squats won't do squat* (ha) if you're eating in a surplus.

*Unless you're bulking and progressively overloading your muscles with weights.
