Lack of motivation

I'm in a bad place right now. I'm very sad, and unhappy which causes the loss of motivation. The emotions are due to me not looking and feeling the way I want to, then I sit on my rump, eat bad things and say screw it all. I always start strong, but then fall back into the same way of feeling. This is why I seem to fail at weight loss. Anyone have any ideas on how to stop this? I'm desperate for help please.

Do you wnat to lose weight or not? If so it will require you to eat at a calorific deficit for a sustained period of time, so losing 1lb a week for 62 weeks will get you roughly to your traget weight.

If you wnat to spend your time feeling sad and miserable plus comfort eating then you ae engaging in the sort of behaviour that ot you there in the first place. Imo if you are going to overeat to become fatter then at least enjoy the food.

However if you decide you wnat to do soemthing about i then you will need to commit, change your atitude and patterns of behaviour.

have realistic expectations on the effor required and rate of loss.
    Plan yoir journey.
    Be consistent.
Have small realistic tragets and the build up.
one day at a time and everyday is a new day.
    Be your own friend.

Once you start making progress that will encourage you that you cna get more . Rinse and repeat for 62 weeks plys weather a few bumps and you will be there.

Do you wnat to lose the weight, which will require you to eat less and preferably move more? You either do or do not. one day at a time and just strat by learning to log, tracking what you eat and reading artickles.
No need to eb desperate, no need to fail , but you do need to commit.

you need to decide that you don't want to be the way you are. and then make a plan and hold yourself accountable to the plan. there is sadly no magic spell to make us get up off our butts. :disappointed:

I hear you all. I do want to lose the weight and be back in the right frame of mind. Went shopping yesterday and filled the house with only good food and threw out all of the junk and bad for me food. I'm going to start following Live the lifestyle again. All fruits, veggies and lean cuts of meats and fish only carbs from legumes. I'll be cutting and prepping and precooking for the week all day today, except when I go take a nice long walk around the lake near my house. Thank you all for helping open my eyes again.
