Thank you for organizing this challenge! It's just what I was looking for as I get back into MyFitnessPal after too long of a break. I'm starting late with the challenge but hoping to make some progress during the remainder of the month. Here's my info:

    Name: Amy
    Age: 44
    Height: 5'10"

    Start Weight (1st August):
    Goal Weight (1st September): 158

    1st August:
    8th August:
15th August: (Actually the 17th of August for me) 161
    22nd August:
    29th August:
    1st September:

Weight lost/gained this week: 1 pound gained
    Weight lost/gained this month:

Successes/struggles this week: I did a pretty good job of logging my food into a written diary; however, I didn't track calories or make major efforts to decrease my food intake. I increased my activity during lunches during the week, but I only did one real workout at the gym.

Goals for this week: Work out at the gym 3 times, sign up for a 10k this fall, log food into MFP and try to keep calories at or below the recommended level every day, drink less wine/beer in the evenings, continue walking at lunch.

Weight lost/gained this month: -1.2 lbs

Successes/struggles this week: Well, I was down another pound...then I went a little crazy on the sodium yesterday. Oh well :) On a happier note, I am nearing completion of my 10K trainer and will be running my first 10K in just under 2 weeks. Half-marathon training starts on 8/24....yikes!!

I haven't posted the August 15 weigh in yet because I think my scale is broken. It tells me that I weigh 161.6, then 159, then 162 (all within few seconds). I don't think I weigh either those numbers. I was bad this week and most likely weigh more than last week (weighed 164.6 last week). Thinking at least 165 this week. I'll weigh at the gym tonight and update here later.

Successes/struggles this week: I still have about half the month left, and I've almost hit my goal for this month! When I saw the scale this time I couldn't stop the smile that popped on my face, or the four letter words that followed afterwards. lol I was a little caught off guard!

As I suspected, I didn't lose weight really. I went to the gym tonight, and I weigh 164.5 lbs

I lose weight very slowly though I workout 5 times per week for 2 hours or more per session.
Looking to watch what I eat more without necessarily going on a super restrictive diet.

This week was a bit of a struggle for me. I did exercize 5 times, but again it's with my nutrition. I'm in the middle of moving and that has affected me a lot. Keeping up with everything else, plus the gym, made it that I'm not eating properly. Even worse than last week. As of tomorrow, I will step up my game.
    August 8
This week I continued doing everything I was doing. I feel like I haven't eaten particularly well, but the food I ate wasn't unhealthy either. I made some Thai soup yesterday (friday) and ate it that day then the next day. There's a lot of coconut milk in that soup, but I also know that the oil in coconut is healthy (consumer in moderation). I'm still struggling to eat healthy food more often.

Also felt pain in my hamstrings on Tuesday, so I haven't run since out of precaution. I still do other forms of cardio and strength training. I worked out 4 days straight (mon-thur) took friday off and did some very light exercise today (Saturday). I'm not sure if I will take a full rest day Sunday or an active rest day. We'll see!

Hi, I've been on and off on MFP but haven't really been keeping track of my calorie intake as I should. Am feeling really low and need support so I hope this challenge will be just what I need.

Successes/struggles this week: Struggles this week have been dealing with massive cravings. I've been way over calories twice so far, and I hate it. I think my biggest fault with this is skipping breakfast. I definitely notice a difference in my eating and hunger when I don't have breakfast. I'm hoping to get back on track for the rest of this week.

Weight lost/gained this week: 6 lost
Weight lost/gained this month: 10 lost

    Successes/struggles this week:
Struggles: My husbands birthday was last Saturday so I've been drinking alcohol, eating cake and good food. I had to stop lying to my self and put my real weight on top there. I'm also going with 5'7 instead of 5'6 since percent they tell me that at the doctor every time I go.
I also haven't really exercised more than once a week the last two weeks. I haven't been doing the best job of sticking with the 1200 calorie diet.

Success: I did notice however that ive really been training myself to have smaller portions and I'm very very happy about that.

    Weight lost/gained this week: -3lbs
    Weight lost/gained this month: -3lbs

Successes/struggles this week: I've been sticking to my calorie allowance pretty well throughout the week and lost 3lbs. Also, I inherited a whole snickers cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. When it became evident that I couldn't control myself around it (kept eating a slice here and a slice there), I sliced it up and took it work, where it was gone in hours. As for struggles, there was a potluck and my friend's birthday over the weekend, so I ended up pigging out on a few occasions. I also had a binge last night. Today is starting off strong, though.

I didn't post last week because I was tired from my trip. I still took my measurements, though.

    Name: Minato
    Age: 27
    Height: 159 cm

Start Weight (1st August): 80.5 kg
Goal Weight (1st September): 79 kg

    1st August: 80.5 kg
    6th August: 79.6 kg
    16th August: 80.5 kg
    22nd August: 78.6 kg
    29th August:
    1st September:

Weight lost/gained this week: 1.9 kg
Weight lost/gained this month: 1.9 kg

Successes/struggles this week: As I mentioned, I was going on vacation for a week and while I'd watch my portions and try not to overeat, it's hard to eat well on a trip. So I did gain some weight, as you can see. However, I continued to exercise while I was on the trip, so I think that helped me to lose the weight back, quickly. As you can see, I've lost all the weight I gained from the trip and even weigh less than right before I left. I set my goal at -1.5 kg to account for the trip, but now I've lost more than that, and we've still got a week of August left. So I think I did pretty well :)

As for my struggles, jet lag hit me pretty hard when I came back. I didn't expect I would get right into exercising the day I got back. Actually, originally, I thought I'd be getting home past midnight, on top of traveling all day, so no. I was iffy about the day afterward to, and I thought that I wouldn't push myself if I wasn't up to it. However, I didn't expect that I would be so tired as I was this past week. I'm getting better little by little, but I'm feeling exhausted by 9, so it's hard to get back into exercising. I don't wanna push my body beyond its limits. I think I wanna try to get back into it today, though. Saturday is yoga day for me, so maybe what I need is to start with something of a lower intensity to get the ball rolling.

Overall, though, I'm happy with how I've been doing. I was worried that I wouldn't be motivated after my trip. A big part of my initial motivation was that I didn't have any pants to wear for my trip, and I didn't want my family to see how much weight I'd gained since I last saw them. I was worried that I wouldn't be motivated to get back into it and would just fall off the bandwagon after my trip. However, I got back to it, and I think I'll be okay from now on. I think seeing that I hadn't gained as much as I thought I would have really helped. I think I just gotta keep setting new goals for myself. Anyway, again, overall, pretty happy with my results this week. Hopefully I get back into exercising soon.

    29th August:
    1st September:

Weight lost/gained this week: +0.75 lb
Weight lost/gained this month: -2 lbs

Successes/struggles this week: Put on 0.75 lb but I'm not stressing about it because I deserve it - I haven't been tracking properly this week. Hopefully having a gain will spur me on to do better this week. It'd be great to get a couple more pounds off and I know I can do it if I put my mind to it.

On the positive side, I've decided to set myself a new challenge - just a simple one - going out for a walk every day. I'm a stay-at-home mum and most the time I'll take the car to go out so I don't end up doing much walking. This week I've taken my youngest out in the buggy twice for a 40-minute walk around the block and yesterday when I had both kids (9 months and 4.5 years) we walked down to the canal to feed the ducks (a 30-minute round trip, but steepily uphill on the way back). It's not much but it's an improvement on what I was doing. I've also ordered myself a fitbit so I can use the pedometer to see how many steps I'm really taking and challenge myself to do more.

Successes/struggles this week: Bit of a frustrating week as I know I've done way more than the numbers suggest....sat at 61.9kg for about four days then shot up by 0.7kg over the course of two days! I know it has to be water as there's no way it's actual weight as clothes as looser but still frustrating - not getting hung up on it and not dropping calories, just going to ride it out. :|
