At what point in your life did you accept who you were and what you wanted out of life?

I was about 40. Started to realize I needed direction at about 35. Started making changes soon after. Knew I was on the right path a few years later. I'm 61 now and realize I made all the right choices.

I decided in my teens that once I hit my 20s I'd be happy with who I was. And I was...decided that it was time to no longer be shy and my brother's shadow.

After my husband left me in 2009, I had a nervous breakdown. I checked myself into a hospital. Then I started going to therapy one on one and group therapy. That really helped me a lot. I started living my life for ME. Once I started living for ME, my life became immensely better.

I haven't reached that point of acceptance yet.

I just keep realizing I'll never get what I want out of life. I'm still in a cycle of one step forward, five steps back.

Never gonna get there, too many obstacles.
I would settle for just being happy for a few hours each day to be honest
