My diet totally fell apart..

. I started on the path to better eating 6 weeks ago and have lost 8lbs. over the weekend I was prescribed a pain killer for a stress fracture in my foot, which destroyed my appetite. Since haven't eaten well in two days, I got sucked into a work lunch and embarrassingly over ate.
I forgave myself and moved on, but I just started having cravings again this evening. I just feel a mess and need to be back on track tomorrow.

So just do it. Your choices are success or failure. I know you have the power to select the healthiest choice.0

One meal does not make or break your diet. Recall how you felt early on and repeat one of your success days.0

Two days doesn't constitute "fell apart." It happens sometimes. Log it, and move on. You've got this!0

An 8lb loss in 6 weeks is fantastic - well done! I'd be so pleased to lose at that rate but am small so the scales hardly move for me and mfp has set me at 1200 cals to lose 0.5lb a week; even that isn't happening and when I look at my diary am not surprised. I overeat most days but still log it so can see where I'm going wrong - but it doesn't (and I know it won't) stop me from my next overeat, just have to try again the next day. If you know you'll get cravings for extra food later in the day, maybe try to pre-log your food and/or save some calories for snacks later.0

omgosh y'all are so right! I was so depressed about it last night and the negative thoughts just wouldn't stop. Morning perspective can be so different.0

Log it and move forward, it's over.0

Click on my diary and you'll see some horrible overages this week, including way more beer than a person needs. I think what's important is to log them as faithfully as you can and then move on. Tomorrow is another day to make choices. You cannot be "perfect" every day. But if over time the trend is down, then yay! Don't give up.0

So get back on track. Beating yourself up about something that can't be changed is pointless. Leave the past in the past and do what you need to do now.
You will likely have other high calorie days along the way. It's a very rare thing for someone to stick to plan 100% every single day. Just let it go.0
