Problem with Binging on Junk Food

When it gets to nighttime, I find myself having images of junk food I want to eat. I always have junk food at home because my housemates buy it. Then I'll eat some junk food, the cravings are for junk food rather than healthy, regular food. Then even if I'm not hungry, I'll eat a lot more. I guess my mentality is that the day has already been ruined and I've already blown it, so I might as well just keep eating and try to fix it tomorrow. I know cheat days are OK but this is on top of the many cheat days I already have. Have you experienced this problem before and how did you stop?

What did you set your weight loss goal to lose per week?0

I save some calories from earlier in the day. At night, when I get the urge to snack, I eat 0% fat free Fage or Chobani yogurt mixed with 1/4 cup of Mrs Butterworth's carb and sugar free pancake syrup. Under 150 calories. Protein. Sweet tasting like ice cream. Fills me up so I don't wake up in the middle of the night hungry.0

Log it. All of it. Every time. Realize what you are actually doing to your goal when you go off the rails. This was the eye opener I needed. I still have ice cream or chocolate each night, but I make room for it in my calorie goals.
I'm 5'9, 181 lbs, 40 years old, female and have my calories set at 1940 per day. I've lost almost 12 pounds in just over 6 weeks.0 -

I eat to the calorie plan but then at night I eat more, I have no problems with sticking to the plan during the day. Those sound tasty, I want to try the pancake syrup :P

Great job losing the weight! I do log all of my food (not here - I'm new). Maybe I should schedule junk food then hehe~0 -
Yes, schedule the junk! Plan it, pre-log it, measure it, and enjoy it. If you plan for a 150 calorie treat at the end of the day then you'll reduce elsewhere to make room.
I always log the day in the morning leaving room for my treats!0 -
I'm sort of afraid that I won't be full if I leave room for junk food.0
