Anyone have any suggestions on good hip-busting exercises? I know for a FACT I could look like a completely different person without these hips! I took a picture of myself straight-on and edited it in paint. All I did was cut off my hips and I looked so different! How do I get rid of these things? I literally look like I have a pool floatie-ring around my waist :(

Hips, thighs and bottom... Oh God wouldn't I love for mine to completely disappear! I've had big hips for as long as I can remember! I'll be following this thread to hear some suggestions - cause I need them too!

    Good luck!
  • Zumba or latin dancing does wonders for your hips/waist/thighs.
I teach Brasilian smaba and I know if I step up my teaching I lose in that area without having to try!
    hope that helps

The Biggest Loser Workout 2 has an entire workout to target "lady trouble zones" (hips, butt, thighs). It's a 15 minute workout and you definitely feel it afterward. Give it a try.

I've been doing Zumba 3x per week for about 3-4 weeks now. The only difference I can see is in my waist higher up, though. I guess I'm not shakin my booty enough :)

I'm in the same boat! ugh!!! I can't lie on the floor and do the suggested exercises due to back injury, but what I'm doing is knee lifts, side leg lifts and kickbacks, in addition to doing them with my cardio workout. The process is painfully slow, but it is helping. When I do the knee lifts, I also do rotation (touch my knee with opposite hand) to turn it into a kind of crunch. Hope that helps, and would love to hear anyone else's suggestions, also...I feel like an oompa loompa and am also always looking for suggestions!!!

I don't think there is any way to help with that, I've been trying, but the fat just goes where it wants to :/ But hey, pears don't get diabetes or heart diseases :P (that's what I'm telling myself :P)

Do you have a resistance band? I've always liked hip extensions with a band. There's a demo here, but I do them with a small band wrapped around both ankles.

I lost my hips quite easy. I've been doing zumba/sit ups/crunches for ages and nothing was working but as soon as cut down food and started this logging my food on this site they seemed to drop off. Zumba is great for an all round form of exercise. I also lost my bum too haha. My hips aren't completely gone but i have lost 7 inches which is amazing in just 6 months. Hope it goes well for you :D It will happen.

Brazilian Butt Lift by beachbody! It has done wonders for me and they are exercises specifically for your booty, hips, inner and outer thighs...that's his specialty. He also has a cardio dance routine in there and ab exercises called tummy tuck. I love it!! It comes with a resistance band for some of the exercises. Good luck!

If you want to get tiny you have to go big, with some serous strength training that is. REALLY! But it will require you to be committed.

Start week one every third day a serious leg work out, lunges squats, lifts, etc. The Firm is pretty awesome to start with.

By week 4 start holding weights when you squat, lunge, and lift. You will think you are going to die, but you MUST continue.

By week 6 increase the weight.

All reps to your sets should be high. Log all exercises! Do not be afraid of weights. Adding weight to your lunges and squats will be key for you, since this appears to be the strongest part of your body. Your body will store fat at the strongest area. So you need to work your backside and legs! Get it girl!
