He was sitting in a window ledge and slipped off, it was only a first floor window but when he landed he must have hit a big plant pot underneath the window and he shattered his whole foot. There was no way to save it so the whole leg had to be amputated. Poor little mite. That was a year ago now. It took him a few months to recover but he's back to his old self now.
