Today was my first day tracking my calories and I realized that I don't eat the amount that I'm supposed to. Is that going to do damage to me in the long run / prevent me from losing weight? I usually eat about two meals a day with two snacks thrown in here or there but I only seem to reach around 1,000 calories.

Numerous numerous threads on this issue, but I have a hard time believing that in two proper meals plus snacks you're not making 1000 calories. I could eat 1000 calories without even trying! Make sure you're logging ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING - every ingredient used to make whatever you're eating and be as accurate as possible. Weigh everything. Measure the oil you use to cook, weigh your cheese and meats and fruits. There are so many calories hidden in the most common foods and people are known to underestimate their caloric intake by 20-40%.0

I've been following the Insanity Nutrition and each meal is set up to be 300 - 400 calories. My meals today were each 400 calories plus my snacks that I had.0
