I only lost 1.5 pounds last week but....

I got back into my exercise routine after being a slug during the month of December and I feel soooooooooooo GREAT! It is amazing to me what exercise can do for your mental health as well as the rest of you. I vow that next December I will NOT use being busy as an excuse NOT to exercise. On that note I am off to the gym!

    Awesome work - AND 1.5 pounds is GREAT - especially considering you've been exercising regularly, which causes fatigued muscles to swell and hold fluids - so you may have lost even more body fat than your scale reads.

    I am jealous you're off to the gym! My knee started bothering me the other day and this morning it is killing me so I am taking the day off. I LOVE my morning workouts. They make my day go so much better but I know that if I am injured I need to heal... and FAST. I'm running another marathon in May so I need to start training again soon.

    Sorry to hear about your knee - I had a knee injury that really started to bother me in October, and I saw many specialists, and the bottom line was that I ended up taking a few months off from all vigorous exercise, and my knee now feels fine (although this is not necessarily the best way to approach it as the long rest + Christmas = 5 lbs coming back!). :grumble:

    1.5 pounds is great, good job and great job on going to the gym. I wish that I could afford to go to the gym, I work out at home though:bigsmile:

    Congrats on getting back in the gym! It really is amazing as to how much the gym really relieves the minor stresses that screw with your head.
