Im taking Lamitrogne for my bipolar disorder and I feel like these medications are making it hard to lose weight.
Also since if my condition I have lapse of depressive phases.
The more the need to lose weight the more depressed I get and then I want to quit. I feel extremely uncomfortable with my body.
Ugh it's so easy to gain weight and so hard to lose weight. ....

Lamogitine is a pretty weight neutral medication. Are you on others that are making you gain like risperdal, seroquel lithium or depokote? Those are known weight gainers that have made my weight loss extremely difficult. I see a dr that specializes in weight loss and a dietician to help me and I am losing by following a low carb high protein diet.
Definitely easier to gain than to lose and can be so frustrating. You are in a good place for support.0 -

Oh so it is weight neutral then?
No that's the only medication I'm taking. My glad that it not a weight gainer. I just need to increase my exercising and really complete a clean nutritious diet.
Yay+ I'm so glad I got this app. I've been really good in logging in foods and exercises.0 -
It's possible to not gain even on Monday medications known to be weight gainers. I was on 4 months of high dose Prednisone and didn't gain a pound (even though I needed to since my illness made me underweight at the time). I carefully watched my calorie intake.0
