You're starving, because it's lunch time, and all they have is sweets.

My solution? Eat some. Fortunately, not long before my afternoon workout. Calorie intake not much different from any lunch.

The problem comes later, after the workout, the carbs have burned off (like they were never consumed), and you need something substantial, but it's only 3.

Maybe just eat dinner early?

Have some protein to hold you over and not worry about being over by 100-200 calories for the day.

Yep I agree with protein. I do better with a hunk of some kind of lower calorie meat and then I'm good until dinner. I usually go for fish filet or some chicken breast if at home, or jerky if I'm out somewhere.

I enjoy Greek yogurt and a banana after workouts for precisely the reason mentioned by other posters.

Id eat a massive salad with 2-3 oz of protein and 2tblspn of low cal dressing.... 200 cals and you will feel full until dinner.

6 cups mixed greens(40 cals), plus 3oz of chicken breast (cooked without fat..130 cals), 2 tbspn of light olive garden dressing (35 cals) = 205 cals.

I purchase SALTFREE nuts from the COOKING aisle and keep them at my desk or in my backpack for times like this.
